God's Abundant Affection

I John 3:1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

We read and hear about God's unconditional agape love quite often. There is good and right for the Lord does so. God does not just love us because he has too being Love but has a tender affection towards us. Much like a mother or fater towards a new born child. Always be mindful this fact and attribute of our loving Heavenly Father.

It is very easy for me to remember my grandmother who knew the Lord over 86 years. The special times growing up and getting to spend time at her house. Her smile and love made each grandchild feel as if they were the center of the universe outside our grandfather. I always thought I was her favorite until comparing notes with my sister's after becoming adults. We all thought the same thing.

She and one or two other people I have met in life, were so intensely empowered by the Lord … you felt as if the only person in the world and loved beyond measure.

Duet. 7:7-   The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples.

Just as the Lord promised His chosen people out of Egypt, the oath of affection is directed to you and me today in Christ. Yes, God literally made an oath to love and adore us. It is mind boggling.

Duet. 10:15 - Yet the Lord set his affection on your ancestors and loved them, and he chose you, their descendants, above all the nations—as it is today.

Through the Lord Jesus, sense His embrace and affection drawing near in praise and worship. You are chosen in Christ as His child by the Creator of all! He has saved us and in gentleness leads our steps and draws us near. Making us great!

Psa. 18:35 - You have also given me the shield of your salvation: and your right hand has held me up, and your gentleness has made me great.

Give thanks and praise. His tender mercies fall on us new each day. Too share in a world of darkness, so many might choose a relationship with the Light of Life. Praise His Name a new day has Dawned! Amen.

Luke 1:78, 79 - because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the Dawn will visit us from on high, to shine on those who live in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”…
