II Cor. 4:16 - Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. (NIV)
Comparisons of relative deprivation generally are as unhealthy as comparisons with those in better circumstance. The past weeks considering the lifelong ongoing battles the Lord is carrying me through brought a distinct picture to mind.
If in my current state almost two thousand years ago, I would be found by city gates begging for alms. Would I be the one Peter might pass and reach out to heal though never asking for this blessing? (Acts 3) Struggling greatly the past weeks I am thankful for those who reached out to me. All in need of a God's touch themselves.
What are we to make of such instances? The closest answer derived in my heart is thankfulness in all things. Or to giving thanks without respect to condition while praying not against the spirit or binding force. Rather pray in the affirmative. If despondent pray for God's joy to surround heart, mind, and spirit.
If overwhelmed, pray for peace beyond understanding. If alone, pray for His Spirit to gently hold and whisper the love and rejoicing the Lord has over us.
However this simple writing finds you … may the Grace of our Lord Jesus shine upon your life by the power of His might. May the smile on God's face lift our hearts in praise and thanks overflowing.
In Jesus precious Name. Amen.

Here With Me lyrics - Mercy Me
Always a struggle to stay strong when it seems the world is doing everything it can to bring you down.
Thanks for the great reminder.

Fantastic and very wise counsel Les.
Thank you Bethy for always holding us all before the Lord.
Don't understand the title. Forgive my stupidity
This is a great word - appreciated the reminder
1 Peter 1:6-7 New Living Translation (NLT)
6 So be truly glad.[a] There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold - though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
I read a lot of papers and a few blogs. So to say this is the best most heart warming is well meant. Thank you.
Even though I haven't been on we have not forgotten you in our prayers.
