Certainty in These Uncertain Times I've been "AWOL" from the blog for a while now. For those of you who know me, I hope you understand given all the changes I've been blessed to have in my life over the past five months that have taken away my ability to invest more of my time here with y'all. Change in this world is a certainty. The fact that God is unchanging is a certainty. So, how do we reconcile our Almighty Father, Who is, Who was, and Who forever will be, with the speed-of-light changes that are continuing to occur in our physical world? My epiphany this morning as I drove to work was simple - let the storms and winds blow, MY GOD has not left me nor forsaken me, and I am FIRMLY planted on the Rock of my Salvation, Jesus Christ. That is what I felt urged to share with y'all today. Let us not concern ourselves with the storm, but with The One Who controls the winds. Let us not concern ourselves with the rising flood tides, but with The One Who controls the seas. Where has my own focus been? Dare I say that it's been more focused on the wind than on the One Who created the winds? Father God, just like the amazing song of praise to You, I WILL praise You in this storm. I WILL lift my hands! You have never left my side, Father. I've just placed my focus on the wrong side. I pray that you join with me today in looking to the right side and filling your vision with the Wonder of God. Let Him be our Guide through these storms. YSIC, Virginia
So good to see you dear sister and so good to have another blog from you!
Yes the storm rages all about us but our Lord is in control of those very storms and we can have peace amidst it all!
So good to see you again! I sure you are enjoying your days with your little blessing from the Lord!
You have made my day
Shall we sing together? "On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand."
You are loved and you are missed, but those TWO little ones need you more than we do right now.
The storm certainly is raging. This is the word many needed to hear.
Blessings my sister!
Great to be blessed again with you simple and yet profound words of wisdom. Thank God for being there, the rock of our salvation and a very present help in times of trouble. We are all in this together, that much is for sure. Let's hang on to each other and hug the rock!
So lovely to hear from you V. I found your blog so encouraging....thankyou. You are missed in here, but you sure have your hands full with the 2 little ones, and I fully realize this.
May God be with you, in the midst of your very busy life.
Much love...... mumbly. x x
I listened to a mp3 message I downloaded the other day by Corrie ten Boom. She was giving her testimony and much of it had to do with how the Lord dealt with her heart and her walk and trust in Him while in the concentration camp. It was amazing to listen to her glory in the grace of God.
Though we get busy, (we have just moved into a new house and have 7 children still at home, and farm animals, etc.,) we don't have to deal with the 60% of the Church in other lands that suffer persecution...everyday.
It amazes me that they can find peace and even joy in the midst of great affliction. Thank the Lord:
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2 Cor 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy [our] brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:
2 Cor 1:2 Grace [be] to you and peace from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Cor 1:3 Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2 Cor 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Let us remember to pray for one another and not forget those under the iron fist of persecution in other lands.
Grace to you,
Happy it was so nice to see a blog posted by you again you truly have been missed.
Yup -I've been caught up in the "storm" a few times when my world seems to be spinning out of control and I've forgotten for the moment that God has Everything in CONTROL.
Thanks for the reminder
a nice little blog on those little gals would be sweet
"...let the storms and winds blow, MY GOD has not left me nor forsaken me, and I am FIRMLY planted on the Rock of my Salvation, Jesus Christ."
And thanks for the reminder!
God bless you!
Y'all warm my heart with your kind comments and your heartfelt "miss you being here".
This is why this ministry is AMAZING! Because of the people of CB that God brings here for us all.
May God bless each of you,
