If God is for us who can be against us

Romans 8, the entire chapter rightly called by some "The Golden Chain of Redemption".  Beginning with the words "therefore now there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" and from there on  encouragement of who we are in Christ and the love of God toward us in Christ Jesus, when i read the entire text i see hope, in verse 31 we read "what shall we say to these things? if God be for us who can be against us?   We need to ponder on these gracious words for a moment and think of what they mean.  Those that may doubt the love of God which i think many of us do at some time or another, if you are a true child of God know this:  you have been cleared of all guilt by the supreme judge of the universe, there is none higher than Him, hence the words " if God be for us who can be agains us?"  it goes on  "who can lay a charge against God's elect, its God that justifies"  again if the supreme judge of all justifies you then you have been justified and you can rest in that.  This justification only comes through the merit of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ who was put to death for our transgressions and raised  for our justification proving that God had accepted the sacrifice for sin.  Therefore God can be just and the justifier of those that have faith in Jesus. Our sin was imputed to Christ and His righteousness is imputed  to us.  what a wonderful truth.  If the God of all creation says we are not guilty then you can count on his words and if he is for us then nothing or no one can be against us and if you read on you will  read that there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.   lets put our minds to action and put our hope fully on Jesus Christ
