And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
As I read Revelation 9 today I could not help but wonder if some of us were singing the new song. This is in the future and who knows how far in the future. Am I crazy to wonder about such things? I must admit I think about the oddest things.
They are singing about Jesus and our redemption. I don't know if there is music to this song but I like it. It is beautiful.
Today, I went to a park to run and stopped by this old stone church. I have to go in it every time I am there and sing a few songs because the acoustics are so incredible. Today I was blessed when a couple guys came in too and before you know it we are singing together. We sung the old song It is Well with my Soul. When we were through we all walked quietly out of the church an on our way. How my heart rejoiced as we sung together.
The day will come my friends when we will sing together a new song. I'm sure the acoustics will be better than the old church and our hearts will be blessed.
Wow! How neat is that? What a wonderful moment of blessing for you all in that old stone church...thankful that you were able to be blessed in such a simply beautiful way...Great blog!! Great verses!
That is a wonderful old hymn. I love the old hymns.
I would loved to have been sitting in the pew just listening to you all sing.
What a blessing that would be.
