“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:25 & 26
The sermon this morning was about not worrying. My pastor spoke of several times he has worried about things and when the event or whatever was over he realized it was nothing to worry about in the first place. I agree, most things that I find so urgent and pressing in time were small and I feel silly that I worried about it. I find myself asking where is your faith?
Well, it happens but not today! Mindy, Lulu, Mindylu, Hula, Hula Skirt (same dog, many names, she answers to all of them) and I are sitting on the pier in the warm sunshine with not a care in the world. Thank You Lord for days like these! I do my best to take advantage of such days. Life can be hard and there are times when we become anxious about things. If we learn to cast our cares upon Him we will do well.
OK, please remind me of what I just said the next time I panic.

Oh don't worry, Alight. I will be sure to do that.
You know, I might have known that you were the one hoarding all the sunshine and warmth. Don't you think it is time to share a bit?
27 "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?"
34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
We all seem to be guilty of "worry" at sometime or another. We know it's wasted time -- yet we do worry.
Well-- I'll remind you if you remind me.
Those sunny sky's sure look inviting. Its been getting to the below zeros here and cloudy sky's.
Blessings my friend

blessings to you and Mindy Lou! blest
Oh my...I wish I had wise words...all I can say is I am the queen of worry...it's embarrassing to admit because people look at you like you are ridiculous and absurd...a lot of things have happened that have resulted in anxiety issues/ocd tendencies...I HATE it. All I can offer is a proverbial hug and to let you know that you are not alone. Thank you for the encouraging verses...are you taking your little friend with you to the grand canyon? I'm going to be embarrassed if I have the wrong person...I didn't check past blogs to confirm...if you ARE grand canyon hiker guy...how is that progressing?
