IGNITE YOUR DESTINY

Praying Strategic Prayers To pray is to commune with God. It is to tap into the Father's presence and have audience with him. If you are able to tap successfully into the presence of the Father, there is nothing that you need to know that he will not reveal to you. There is prayer, and there is prayer. Not every prayer has the same impact and effect on God. Some prayers move God better than others. Praying the will of God to be revealed or done in your life is arguably the most strategic prayer you could possibly pray. Solomon was an example of a man who prayed strategically. Let's take a look at Solomon's example: €œAnd Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. And Solomon said, Thou hast shewn unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days. And thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days€ (1 Kings 3:3-14). The most important secret you need to learn about prayer is that, when you have accessed the presence of God, you should not be quick to ask for things that are of a personal nature. Rather, you should be quick to ask for things that are directly linked to his assignment. If his assignment is not known to you, then you should strategically pray for his specific will to be made known to you. His specific will for your life is always related to his kingdom purpose. For this reason, he said in his word to first seek his kingdom and his righteousness. In other words, seek the interest of his kingdom first. That was exactly the kind of prayer Solomon prayed. He prayed a prayer that had to do with the specific will of God for his life. In case you are in doubt about your mission in life, your prayers must begin to look like this: €œFather, what would you have me do for the sake of your kingdom?€ and €œFather, what is your assignment for me in this life?€ When you pray consistently in this manner, you will be surprised how your perception in life will begin to be aligned in the direction of your assignment. You will start seeing things differently. Your priorities will begin to shift. It is a change you will certainly notice. Why not give it a try today?

Welcome brother kingsleyamoah:welcome:. I enjoy your blog and your sharing of seeking God's will through prayer which should be on His kingdom's assignment. Most of us would ask for our needs to be met first. So what you share is quite a revelation. Thanks for sharing.
