How much of life is an illusion?

This is one of my newer poems. I hope and pray you understand what I am saying. Illusions 9/22/12 With so much confusion I often wonder With emotions exploding like thunder How much of life is an illusion? How do I come to a conclusion? There seems to be no logic or reason I seem to be lost in an empty season Where feelings and emotions are running wild Like a spoiled unruly undisciplined child. How do I put them into perspective? The real from that which is deceptive? If I follow my heart there would be pain If I follow my mind there is nothing to gain. It feels like the deepest passion of my heart Is destroying me and tearing me apart Twisting and turning is it an illusion? The passion within that brings confusion. The worst part is that it’s only me The object of passion does not see A one sided passion is empty at best It has no conclusion, will never be at rest. It can never be fulfilled or satisfied Never reach the point of being glorified No ecstasy, pleasure or joy divine None of these will ever be mine. We live and we die, we hate and we love We look for that guidance from above We forgive and forget we learn and we grow Sometimes it’s fast but mostly it’s slow. So much of life is empty and dry But life keeps moving and spinning by I don’t want to be patient and wait for glory Yet I see no other end to this old story. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NIV Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. KraftyKatz :coffee:

Beautiful Katz

I think the scripture verse explains it quite well.
