Shadow od Death

Shadow of Death This was inspired by the 23rd Psalm. I realized as I was reading that beautiful Psalm, that the shadow of death is not just what we face in times of trouble or when we face actual physical death. We, because of the fall, live in the shadow of death in this life. Each and every day, we walk under this shadow of death. But there is hope in Jesus Christ. Shadow of Death We live our lives in the shadow of death We are dying with each and every breath We walk through the valley every day Because of the fall we live this way Living our lives in turmoil and pain At times feeling like we’re going insane We struggle with life and being alive True happiness never seems to arrive We wonder why life has to be so hard It’s like we’re in prison with a guard We are our own jailer of this I am sure For our human hearts are never pure In this shadow of death, there is light A light that shines so very bright A light that guides with loving hands While traveling these hostile lands Bringing me next to a quiet stream Beautiful peaceful as if in a dream A place of beauty and tranquility Completely at peace and serenity It gives my heart wings and lets me fly Like being on eagle wings souring high Such wondrous glory and joy divine Life in this perfect love, I know it mine A soul at peace with this love completed For in this new life, death is defeated KraftyKatz :coffee:

An excellent preface to your beautiful poem, Marsha, and the lines below really spoke to my heart.

[blockquote]A soul at peace with this love completed
For in this new life, death is defeated[/blockquote]
Thank you for this inspirational poem from your heart. I enjoyed it!
