One of the amazing things about being a part of CB is that though we are scattered around the world, we can gather together and pray for one another. I've been a member of CB for nearly five years and during that time I have participated in a number of prayer meetings in the prayer room which is accessed via the chatroom. I have also been the recipient of many prayers from members here at CB.
A couple of members of CB are facing some serious health issues and some of us have expressed a desire to gather together in the prayer room to pray for these members. Sandy Brooks (@Poodlelady) is battling cancer and Alison Stewart (@Kiwibird) has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
We'd like to invite those members who are able to join us in the CB prayer room to pray for these sisters on Thursday, June 7th (or Friday, June 8th for some of you). Since we are a global community and are in different time zones, you can click on the link below to find out the time and date this event is taking place in your area:
If you are not able to be there, please remember these sisters in prayer. Also, if you wish, you may also post a prayer for them on this blog. I realize that sometimes people feel a bit odd about writing prayers out but I cannot tell you what a blessing it was for me to go back and read the prayers people left for me on a blog which announced I was in ICU. I still go back and read them at times and they still bless and strengthen me.
It is important that we pray for one another. During this prayer meeting we'd love to be able to pray for other members who may be facing major medical issues as well. Please respond to this blog if you would like to be included in our prayers that day.
Thank you my friend You know how much this means to me. I also remember when people from cb were praying for me nearly four years ago when the first tumour was diagnosed. There is much power in prayer.
Thank you for this blog. I will try to attend, it's on my planner. I ask for prayers for my wife who suffers from lung and bone cancer, and also a fractured jaw that was caused by her jawbone being weakened by years of chemotherapy. Thanks. - bibleguy64
I cannot count the number of times that we have prayed for people in chat and seen the power of God as he moves in mercy. I would strongly encourage everyone to come, even if you feel you cannot pray "out loud". The fact that you are there is a great encouragement to those who are facing illness.
More than ever we need to draw the sword of prayer against disease. Last night I lost a friend of mine to Cancer. He was 48 years old . The greatest weapon we have is prayer.. lets use it folks. Lets go to battle; for mompooh, for kbird, for bibleguy64' wife.. for us all.
Poodlelady, and Kiwibird, know that I will be praying for both of you. And also the others who need prayer also. I know very well how devastating these things are, they have touched those in my family as well.
God never promised us a storm free life. He told us rather that they will come. He did promise that His grace and strength is sufficient for us. I pray you feel that covering of grace, and His strength. God Bless.
Yes, I will remember all the needs of all these sisters in prayer including yours. I will not be able to join your on the 8th June as I will be travelling to Bangkok for a short trip, fully blessed by the Lord.
May the Lord answer all our prayers and bind His people as one.
Thanks for sharing, Sister K

For where two or more are gathered, there he will be also. I plan on being there. Bethy, please keep reminding me betwen now and Thursday.
Thank you so much for this time of prayer. I firmly believe in the power of prayer and have seen great things happen in these prayer meetings.
I have a 2:30pm doctors appointment out of town but am praying I will be home by at least 4:30.
Hey lovely ones, as much as I would love to be there on Friday, I am off with my psychologist doing some testing to help understand depression better. Please know that my thoughts and prayers will be with all you guys though.
Hello there :)
I might not be able to be there on Friday. But i'll surely remember to pray for mompooh and kbird.
Am standing with you all in this.
Just reading this blog encouraged my heart. We, the Church, stands strong in the midst of battle when we're praying for one another no matter how many miles away we are from each other.
Keep me in your prayers as well! Thanks :)Blessings Abbie
