It seems like you've been wandering in the "desert" for a long time now. You've heard all the promises and yet it seems like all you can see before you is windblown sand.
You cannot deny that God has been faithful. He has been a cloud by day, providing shade from the scorching sun. He has been a fire by night, providing you with light, warmth and protection in the dark, cold desert nights. His fire brings great cheer to your spirit. He provides you with living water in a dry and thirsty land and He feeds you from His very own table. You lack nothing.
You have no reason to be ungrateful. You have no reason to complain except for the fact that you are tired. You are tired of the heat, the blowing sand and the barrenness. Like David, you cry out to God in despair:
Have compassion on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony. I am sick at heart. How long, O Lord, until you restore me? Return, O Lord, and rescue me. Save me because of your unfailing love. For the dead do not remember you. Who can praise you from the grave? I am worn out from sobbing. All night I flood my bed with weeping, drenching it with my tears. My vision is blurred by grief; my eyes are worn out because of all my enemies.- Psalm 6:2-7 (NLT)
I think David could have related to this song. I know I do and perhaps you do as well.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand (Ps.37:23-24 KJV)
The first time I heard this song I said that I could have wrote it. I am happy to say that I am doing much better these days. I believe God is healing my broken heart. I was beginning to wonder there for a while. Prayers, good friends and my family were what I needed the most. I hope now that I have been through such a hard thing I will be able to help others. I know I am helping in my volunteer work. Monday I will be staying with a man while his wife gets out for a few hours. K, he is almost gone. It will be a very sad day for me. I probably will relate to this song again.
Love this song!
When it started to my I was thinking I know this voice! In 2005 there was a song I listened to a lot on my computer music. I can't remember the song but I'll never forget that voice.
PS. Congratulations on your 1500th blog!!
Huge congratz on 1500 blogs!!!!
I missed your blog Dear K
Congrats on your 1500th blog God Bless you !!
Perhaps the greatest encouragement we see in the lives of the apostles of Jesus Christ was their lives at the end. They never lost faith, no matter what. Nor did they live in health and wealth, enjoying the things so many focus on in these days. Good reminders to go along with the song.
Thanks for the 1500th blog. And the song. And thanks for being here. God Bless You. billy.
I can relate. Thank you for the verses and the song!
