Today another milestone was reached at CB. Kirk M (@blessings2you) (known to CB old-timers as "B2Y") had the 2.5 millionth view of his blogs. That's more than any other blogger at CB. Now to some people, that might not seem like such a big deal but since I was at CB when he arrived here during the fall of 2007, I know a thing or two that makes this even a more remarkable accomplishment.
For a long time, he published a blog every day. Anyone who has tried to do this knows this can be quite a challenge. I have often see people say they intend to write a daily blog but usually within a few days or weeks they give up. Kirk did it for more than a year. In fact, he wasn't stopped until he was hospitalized for serious health problems in January 2009. He continued to blog as much as possible while battling those issues throughout the remainder of the winter and the spring of 2009.
During that time, a number of CB members prayed for him. Sometimes we would even gather together in chat to pray for our dear brother and friend. It was apparent that he had made a great impact on the CB community.
My husband and I had the privilege to meet Kirk and his wife, Beth M (@blest) in August 2009 and we have been guests in their home several times since. Often when you meet someone in person, you don't "recognize" them. They are different in real life than how they come across print or in cyberspace. This was not true of Kirk and his wife. I must confess I would have known them anywhere. They are the same people in cyberspace as they are outside of it.
Kirk doesn't just talk the talk, he lives it. When I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm in December 2009, after calling family, my husband's next thought was to call our friends, "The B2Ys". When my husband lost his job in 2012, they were at the top of the list and gave us their love and support in a variety of ways. My husband and I are so thankful that we have such friends. These are a few of my own personal experiences but over the years I know Kirk has reached out and touched many lives.
He has loved and supported CB from the time he first crossed it's threshold. His contributions would be too numerous to list and undoubtedly many go unseen therefore, suffice it to say that CB would be a very different place if he had not come here and indeed, his love and support of this site has been critical.
Kirk, Dave and I would like to extend our congratulations for passing this milestone. You have been and continue to be a blessing to us as well as to the CB community. I am anticipating that you will soon be reaching another milestone when you write your 2,000th blog.

You are too kind Kathy. Thank you for the beautiful words and brief B2Y history. Thank God for CB for it has allowed me to share His story as He has written it upon my heart. Thank God for CB for it allowed us to meet and become the friends we are. I am indeed very thankful this evening.
Dear Kathy, you made me cry! Happy tears of course!
Blest tears because of all the wonderful people I've met here over the years.
Kirk has met a number of CB members in person ~ on his 'grand itinerary' across the central US!
But I have met in person only you and your husband ~ what a blessing it is to know you in person and on CB! You truly are a blessing here and, as you said of us, you are the same live and in person, as you are here at CB. Thank you for this wonderful blog and for all you do here at CB.
