Over the past few weeks, this question has risen up time and time again. Am I willing to trust God... no matter what?
This sort of question should never be answered quickly for it requires a great deal of soul-searching. Indeed, I believe for it to be answered, one must completely open up their heart and lay it down before God. To answer in the affirmative and really mean it may be two very different things when push comes to shove. I guarantee that if you answer in the affirmative, God will require you to prove it... one way or another.
My friends, to gather up all of your hopes and dreams, all the gifts that God has given you and lay them upon the altar before Him is not an easy task. If one finds it easy than they had better take another good hard look at whether or not they are truly laying down the sacrifice... or just pretending to do so! A sacrifice is never easy... that is why it is called a sacrifice. We must not just offer it up to God. We must also release our grip on it as well.
Throughout the ages, God has cried out for us to simply trust Him regardless of what we see, hear, think or feel. How will we respond?
At risk of sounding flippant (but not intending to!) Been There, Done That, Been Blessed, God is Faithful, Hallelujah!
For the Eternity stuff, I trust pretty easily; but I must confess that I do worry about here-&-now stuff. God does allow his childen to go through some tough stuff...
But He who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it...& shalom, Marjorie
