Dear CB Friends, I Did Not Leave The Door Open This Time!

Dear CB Friends,

I take my pen in hand...oops, I don't have a pen. Let's see... I take my keyboard in hand. That's better. Okay, I'll try this again.

Dear CB Friends,

I take my keyboard in hand to try to clear up a misunderstanding. I am not in Minnesota at the moment. I am in Colorado. I have been in Colorado since Sunday. Colorado is southwest of Minnesota. Therefore, I am not responsible for the current cold weather reaching all the way down to Atlanta. I have already had some remarks coming my way which is why I am issuing this statement:

K :princess: is not responsible for the current cold snap as she is basking under blue skies in the Rocky Mountains. The high today is supposed to be 68 degrees.

As you can clearly see, should I open the door at this moment, you would not be getting cold weather nor would you be getting snow. What did you say? You people need to speak up, your teeth are chattering.
You want me to open the door now? Would you people please make up your mind! Open, shut, open shut. You would think I am the "official" CB doorkeeper or something. Please talk it over amongst yourselves and let me know what you really want. Door open or door shut?

K :princess:

Now, dear K, there is an alternative! You could just open the door half way.

But then an argument would surely follow...

Is the door half open or half closed?

Thanks for the chuckle...

Shalom,

Lol k... It must be me leaving the door open this time...

Well, :princess: I guess you're off the hook this time.

As I dig myself out of the snow on my deck this morning, I guess I'll have to look towards . . . DIVA! Did you leave the door open? I'll have you know I have already seen the season's first hummingbird and put out food for the little tykes and I fear their cute little birdie feet will freeze in the snow!

Where's my Bible? What does it say about pestilence, famines, earthquakes, signs in the heavens . . . does it say snow in April?

Snow in April.. I have written a poem about that.. must hunt it down and post it.

Dearest K:princess:

I am so sorry you are getting a hard time. I guess it is human nature to poke the stick at those who have been a wee bit challenging in the past. I fully agree that you cannot be blamed for the inclement weather that some are experiencing at this time and suggest that you take a chocolate truffle to help calm your mind.

Your comment about being a doorkeeper did bring something to mind... "I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than dwell in the tents of the unGodly for ever" so you see, being a doorkeeper in God's house (or blog site) is hugely important. 😉

Now let me remind you dear "K", what took place yesterday. While you were out showing the Rocky Mountains who was boss, a guy steals a plane in Thunder Bay Canada and proceeds to fly DIRECTLY OVER MINNESOTA, Wisconsin, Illinois and lands in MISSOURI. At the same time two F-16s were chasing him and will bill the government $500,000 for their services. While this was happening it was so cold down here that the St. Louis Cardinal pitcher lost all his fingers in the 9th inning and let the worst team in baseball score 4 runs in the top of the 9th inning.

I would think you need to get back to MN before even more disasters happen. You might not be the doorkeeper, but you certainly keep all sorts of bad things from sweeping over the rest of country while you are up there being our far northern defense against Cessna airplanes, cold winds and bad baseball players. Time to get home and find whoever did leave the door open and get it shut so we can send you Spring.

On behalf of a grateful nation please let it be known that our Missouri State Police captured the dreaded pilot who landed his little plane on a road in southeast Missouri and ran to a gas station (presumably to relieve himself) where he was boldly apprehended. America is safe again.

I had to turn the air conditioning on today as I drove back to Denver from Colorado Springs. I thought I was going to get heat-stroke or something. I haven't been in temps that warm since at least October, maybe even longer. Whew, I am warm!

@B2Y,

Say it isn't so! Did my beloved St. Louis Cardinals lose their season opener? No!!!!!!!!!
For those of you who don't know, my father was a loyal St. Louis Cardinal fan and he brought his daughter up to be one too, even if I did grow up in Twins Territory. Okay, that does it. I have no choice but to return back to Minnesota tomorrow. I can't even take a vacation without all sorts of terrible things taking place. Besides, my husband forgot to pick up truffles before we left so I am suffering from "withdrawal". If it wasn't for all the exploring, which takes my mind off the pain, I'd be a wreck.

Blessings!

K I know you did not leave the door open (I'm not so sure about Diva though -she may have left it open in her hurry to get out of the house).
Snow in April -well that used to happen all the time but the past few years the nice winters have spoiled us here in Illinois. I really really am tired of all this snow and cold but I really am not ready for 100 degrees either -guess some people just can't be pleased
Hope you are having a wonderful time and you better be taking pics to post when you get back!

Blessings
