God Is Always My Consolation

One of the few "guarantees" in life is that there will be times when your world will be shaken. The idea that anyone floats through life without a care or any sort of problem ever is a myth. Over the years I have met far too many bewildered and wounded Christians shaking their heads wondering what they did wrong because their life is not trouble-free. They had been told they would never have to face any problems or hardships ever again so they must have done something wrong.

The reality of it all is that we live in a fallen world. We do and because of that, life is not fair. We might say, "I don't deserve this." No, you don't...none of us do. We deserve far more than we can possibly imagine and it is only by because of God's love, mercy and grace that we do NOT get exactly what we deserve. I don't think any of us want what we deserve. I know I don't!

During those times of uncertainty, sorrow and pain. the times when your world has fallen apart, we much remember that God is ALWAYS our consolation! Even when everything has fallen all around you, our hope is not in the world around us, it is not even in our bodies... rather... our hope and our consolation is in God!Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace,
comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17.

It's much too early in the morning to sing but I will give it a try.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
but wholly trust in jesus name

On Christ the Solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand.

:princess: K, when my world is shaken, I cling to the unshakable rock. Praise His name forever.
