God's Amazing Gift Of Love

He didn't have to do it, you know. We act like He did. We act like we deserved to have Him take on the form of man and come down and dwell among us. We act like He owed it to us to sacrifice His life for us. Usually we even have the audacity to blame Him for the miserable state humanity is in. Funny... it is so easy to deny or ignore the existence of God when life is good but when the path gets dark, we always want God to be our scapegoat.

At this time of year, I am reminded that there is no way that I ever deserved or ever will deserve the love God has for me. No way!

And yet... knowing every single fault and failure I have, Jesus Christ still came and died... for me simply because He loves me. To me this is why God's grace is so amazing!

Regardless of what anyone else may say, in my heart of hearts, I am absolutely convinced that the love which God has for me... is the same love He has for you and all of humanity. Why? Because I have experienced it and know it to be true.

Oh, even as the curse was pronounced upon humanity, the promise of Jesus Christ, Our Savior, was declared...not just for a handful but for all of us! We had rejected and abandoned God but He would not abandon us! Sacrificing Himself, He went after us and relentlessly pursues us... because of love. Not this thing we perceive to be love which is but a poor imitation of it but LOVE.

God has extended His amazing gift of love toward all of us... the question is, will we accept it?

Blessings!

Amen K:princess:, 2nd Cor. 5:20, "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." I am sick of hearing views presented that essentially say that God does not want, does not desire, ALL to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. I am sick of it. I agree with you wholeheartedly.

We need to be out doing exactly as quoted, "as though God did beseech you by us". "For God so loved the world", "that WHOSOEVER believeth". "WHOSOEVER WILL, let him come". "God is not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance."

Yes, we are a sorry bunch, mankind, and none of us deserve this offer of reconciliation, but it is indeed offered to all. We believe, we profess, we surrender, an answer of a good conscience, and we have a new Master. Thank you for this blog. God Bless. Billy
