I was hanging out in chat a bit ago, waiting to see if any of my friends who were online at the moment would pop in. Suddenly, this verse popped up in chat:
You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore - Psalm 16:11What beautiful words!
Today is Easter. We have been thinking and talking about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. However, there was so much more done on that day and on the days which followed. Previously, we were barred from walking the Path of Life. Like the rest of the human race, we were born on the Path of Death and we were doomed to remain there until... Jesus became The Way. He is the Way, The Truth and The Life. He is the Path of Life!
This is why we can walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death and fear no evil. We may pass through that valley but we are on the Path of Life. We are abiding in His presence and in His presence there is fullness of joy. Oh that we might understand that without Him there is NO life and with Him... there is life everlasting!
Your words remind me of this song.. (forgot the title) but here's the lyrics :)
In Your presence
there is fullness of joy
At Your right hand
There are pleasures evermore
You surround us with Your favor oh LORD
The earth is full of Your goodness
The earth is filled with Your love
Far above all we could ever ask or think.
(that song makes me dance! hehehe)
thanks for sharing k!Blessings, abbie
What an outstanding blog and a wonderful inspiration. Isn't it amazing how suddenly and abruptly God can call out to us, and how quickly He can communicate a whole bunch of feeling and inspiration. God bless you for sharing this. He has truly offered us a magnificent Kingdom, why do we so often feel it should be the way we want it, rather than the way He wants it?
