He's Already There

The other day, as I was reflecting on the events of my life over the past two years in particular and thinking about my current situation, this song came on over the radio:

It is important to remember that we are the followers of Christ rather than the leaders of Christ. There is a difference. God is ahead of us, not behind us. He has blazed the trail for us so that we might safely follow Him. Now, that does not mean the path will not be steep and difficult at times. It will be. However, He knows exactly where we must step, what we must grip and when we need some additional assistance in safely navigating the trail.

Whether we are dealing with a difficult marriage, serious health issues, breakdowns in relationships, financial challenges, loneliness, depression, a difficult situation at work or anything else, we must remember these words:

And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed. - Deuteronomy 31:8

Regardless of what we face, God is on the path before us. He WILL be with us. He WILL NOT leave us or forsake us. Therefore, we do NOT need to fear or be dismayed... not matter what!

Blessings!

Sometimes I liken our Christian Walk to hiking in the mountains. In both we are walking in the dark (1Cor.13:12) with a Light at the end of the Path being our only guide. We KNOW what is at journey's end, but sometimes it is too easy to be distracted by the rough spots in the path, and we take our eyes off the Light. -And even easier to forget who originally forged the path we follow:

Thank you for the reminder...

God Bless!

Funny we do seem to get ahead of God at times seemingly forgetting He is leading us not we leading Him.

Thanks for that reminder K :princess:
