A blog written by Kirk M (@blessings2you) today entitled Resting In The Perfect Peace Of God In Christ In Us reminded me of a song we sang at VBS a number of years ago.
Yes, this is a very simple little song for kids and yet I think that far too often we adults complicate things which in reality are quite simple. How much trouble we would save ourselves if we simply did like this song says, fix our eyes on Christ and follow Him. Yet we don't want to do that. We want to make things complicated and difficult. We would prefer to gather together in a dusty corner and argue... er... debate about things we think we know but in reality... we probably don't know nearly as much as we think we do.
The choice is ours. We can either grumpily sit in a corner and go nowhere or we can fix our eyes on Jesus and follow Him and we can add our cry to His as He calls out to others, "Come, follow me!"
I know what I would prefer to do. How about you?

Great song - thanks This has reminded me of a chorus that we used to sing in BC days back in 60's
Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangly dim
In the light of His glory and grace.
