K Princess' Car Is A What?

If you look to the right of this blog, you will see my "white charger". For those of you who have read my blogs, this is the infamous K :princess: charger which carries me on my many "wanderings".

Today, I took my white steed for an oil change and happened to mention to the mechanic that I'd noticed the garage seemed to be a bit... fragrant and I feared my trusty charger was becoming ill.
He said he'd take a peek but if nothing was visible he would schedule an appointment for Monday. Sigh...

About 10 minutes later, he hurried into the waiting area. "I've found the problem. We need to fix it now!"
Gulp! It sounded serious and usually serious means expensive. He noted the expression on my face.

"Oh no, " he said. "It has to be fixed immediately. You must not drive it until it is fixed but it will not be expensive. It is an easy repair." Whew! That was a relief.

He told me what it was but as I am into driving cars rather than fixing them, I will not attempt to get technical. All I heard were the words, pool of gasoline, engine, fire and/or explosion while driving. Explosion?

I'd had an "explosion" in my head this past December and I knew they were unpleasant as well as potentially fatal. I didn't want to be near any more "explosions"!

After a bit, the mechanic came in again. "We don't have the part in stock. It won't be here until Monday. We can't let you drive that car though, for it is too dangerous. So, we took the part out of one our cars on the lot (I was at the dealership). When the part comes on Monday, we will replace it in that car."

"How much?" I stammered.

"Well, technically it is not a new part so we can't charge you. You owe us nothing."

Nice! I walk...er drive off the lot with my car fixed, my oil changed and I paid nothing. Oh! I also got a free carwash. LOL!

The whole point of this blog is this. While we are often confronted by obvious trouble and danger in this world, sometimes it is more discreet. We may not see the danger but God does and He will keep us safe, even in the storm.

But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.

We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.

In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.

May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you.
