I read a comment on Shani Matthews (@Shanijane) 's wall just a few moments ago which says
God, I'm glad you are so big and so strong. When I read that, a song I used to teach the kids in children's church went came to mind.
My God is so big, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do! My God is so big, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do! The mountains are His, the rivers are His, the stars are His handiwork too. My God is so big, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do!
I can see the children now, singing their hearts out as they do the motions. They would spread out their arms, indicating that God was soooooooooo big! Then they would flex their arms to show their muscle and shake their heads, no. They would form a mountain with their hands, wiggle their fingers to indicate the running water of a river and then raise their hands straight up, wiggling their fingers to show the twinkling of the stars. Their entire bodies, in addition to their voices, were declaring who God is... our Creator and our Savior.
We forget that sometimes, don't we. We forget that God is bigger, stronger and mightier than anything else put together. We forget that everything is His. We forget that He sees all, hears all and that He is mighty to save.
May we never forget that God is bigger than anything we face!
You O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. Ps. 18:28
