Nothing Can Separate Us

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

Romans 8:35 (NIV)

He had never experienced lonliness before. Even before she was created as his helpmeet, there was God.

How he loved being in God's presence! Even as he went about his work, he could sense God's presence. Everywhere he looked he saw the evidence of not only God's power but of His great love for Him. Hadn't God formed him with His very own hands and breathed the breath of life into him? Unlike the animals, hadn't God formed a helpmeet for him, not from the dust of the earth but from living flesh?

He was aware that she was still beside him as was the serpent but... something was wrong. Something was very wrong. He was broken... and he was alone.

Separation from God became the "normal state" of humanity. Born after the fall, we are born with a growing sense that something is not quite right with us. We eventually discover that though we may be surrounded by others we are still alone. In fact, that is actually our greatest fear. Loneliness. Please remember that there is a difference between desiring solitude and loneliness.

The good news is God desires reconciliation and in fact, provided the means for reconciliation through the blood of Jesus Christ. Regardless of what we may face, God will keep us and enable us to be more than conquerors through Christ. We must never forget this.

Blessings!
