On July 29, 2007, I sat down to my computer and googled the words "Christian blog". I clicked on Christianblog.com, never realizing that God was about to take me on the most amazing journey I have ever gone on. I didn't realize at the time that lurking within me was a deadly disease, triple negative breast cancer. God did, however, and He knew that I would need this place as I battled the long, frightening and often painful treatment of this horrible disease. Even more importantly, God knew there were people here or people that would come here, whom I would desperately need. With loving compassion, He introduced me to some amazing people whom I am pleased to count now as my dearest of friends and I know that they would say the same is true. What a joy it is to have friends who are not merely acquaintances but are what I call "brother-friends" and "sister-friends", people who are closer than a sibling and yet at the same time, closer than a friend! These are the people with whom you truly "do life with" as all of you "do life together with God"!
I would like to thank all of the precious people who have played such an important role in my life. People like Kirk M (@blessings2you) and Beth M (@blest) loving and faithful friends who have opened up their hearts and home to me, my loving "titanium twin" Alison Stewart (@kiwibird), my fellow Minnesotan @cowgirldiva, fellow wanderer @harkrider, my long-lost Irish "cousin" Joyce Bethy Ferguson (@bethy), my fencing partner Alan Nethery (@shadowalker), Benjamin Foulks (@galahad) who is the owner of err... resides with my attorney, the infamous and greatly esteemed "Galahad The Cat", probably my oldest CB friends, Linda Young (@savedbyegrace) and Marsha Tyler Ronquist (@kraftykatz) who were here even before me, Sandy Brooks (@poodlelady) who keeps me... as well as others in line, Shani Matthews (@shanijane), sweet girl from OZ and oh... so many other precious people, both "old" and "new". Thank you for allowing me to "do life with you!"
And John B. Abela (@abelajohnb)...
I have tried to express it numerous times to you but I realize it would still be impossible for you to fully understand what the place you have created has meant to me. I can only ask God to help me to be able to continue to give back to you and CB a fraction of what you have given to me.
Thank you for taking the risk. Thank you for continuing when it would have been much easier and probably much more sensible to simply close the site down and walk away. Thank you for not doing that for you see... God knew how much I needed/need this place and the people who call CB "home". For me, CB is not a place for me to simply write one thousand plus blogs. It is a blogging community. A Christian blogging community... and love lives here.
You O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. Ps. 18:28
Congratulations, K! While the 1,000th stands as an outstanding achievement, it is all the other things you do to strengthen and encourage people that makes you so special to us all.
Now that you have joined the "holy trinity" of 1000 bloggers, I guess that means we need to find some new and exciting goal to strive for. Perhaps 5000 blogs--or not.
Seriously, I am thankful beyond words for all you have done for so many people around here through your humor, compassion, comfort and just being a friend for many of us who really, really needed one. Thank you for sticking around, not only here at CB but this life. You continue to be a shining example of God's grace, mercy and love and in many respects that is your life and ministry.
Congratulations on hitting the magic 1000 and may God inspire you to write another 1000!
Blessings Dear friend,
You posted this while I was asleep but it was such a wonderful celebratory blog to wake up to!
There are sooo many things that we have in common but the capacity to write so many wonderful blogs is not one of them!
You, my friend, are a tower of strength in times of trouble and a very sturdy leaning post when I can't stand up because I'm laughing so hard! I praise God that in his time we are in the same room to fight the common enemy or on the same mosh pit to dance to the glory of God.
United by God...and titanium

A very belated, though heartfelt nonetheless, Congratulations to my dear K
I have been a sporadic visitor to CB as of late, but you (and many others chez CB) remain in my daily prayers and in my heart. Not a day goes by that I am not thankful to God for having brought us together through CB. You are a blessing to many ~ quite an understatement, and one I daresay you will not know the magnitude of until our precious Lord hands out rewards and crowns in Eternity. I hope I have a front row seat when you receive yours. Bless you bunches, my dear friend, and congrats on #1000 ~ here's to many more! sooooo blest ...
What happened to all the smileys???? NONE of them came through!!! :(
