Each one of us is born with the need to seek something which we have lost. Most people spend a lifetime trying to find it. We chase after this thing and that thing, hoping that will take away the feeling which descends upon us in the middle of the night when we don't have any distractions. It is all in vain.
Sadly enough, even Christians fall prey to this sort of mindset. If we could just read that newest book or hear the latest speaker... then we would be fulfilled. We don't need the newest book or the newest fad. What we need is to seek God with all of our hearts and put that journey above all others.
When we seek God with all of our hearts, there is no need to look any further for anything. When we seek God with all of our hearts, we will find Him and when we find Him, we will have ALL that we need.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
Short and right to the point. So true, K. Seems so simple, yet it is truly deep. blessings, blest

As we have talked about on many occasions, facing the reality of our own mortality gives a definite nudge to the absolute truth that we need God! Although I have a short term memory deficit as a result of brain tumour surgery (I don't have an excuse for the long term deficit) ;) I know that I know for certain that God IS all I need.
Thank you for the reality check!kb
