In times of distress and grief, in times of uncertainty, in times of pain, who do you serve?
When you're walking on stormy seas or pushed into the fire, who do you serve?
When your way is blocked by an ocean, when the flood threatens to drown you, who do you serve?
When you are grossly outnumbered by the enemy and your resources are quickly dwindling or vanishing altogether, who do you serve?
When you did all of the right things but you find yourself thrust into a den of lions or chained in the prison of loneliness, who do you serve?
Wandering in the desert, beaten and bruised, rejected and afflicted with no deliverance in sight, who do you serve?
Do you serve a God who hears your every cry before you even utter it? Do you serve a God who made provision for you from the very beginning of time?
Do you serve a God who is God over Heaven and Earth or do you serve one who is wood and stone who cannot hear you?
Exactly who do you serve?
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you. Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)
Always remember who you serve!
Two years ago this past weekend my hubbys world crashed when his brother lost his long battle with CF. We held tightly to those verses...
also.. As for me and my house.. we WILL serve the Lord.
My God hears my cry,, he is alive.. halleluiah
