Sunshine And Rain

Today I got to thinking about rainbows and how they are formed. Before I proceed any further, here's a brief science lesson about rainbows from a meteorologist:

In order for a rainbow to form, you need two things, water and light. When light hits a water droplet, it is refracted and enters the droplet where it is broken into seven colors; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. The light then reflects what is inside the water droplet and what's on the inside is refracted back into the air and we see it as a rainbow.

It makes me think about how the Light of The World, Jesus, entered the darkness of my life and transformed it into something beautiful. He transformed me and desires to shine through me so that the world around me, can see Him.

It also reminds me that though there might be dark clouds in my life, His light can penetrate those clouds and transform the "water droplets" within the cloud into... a rainbow. Tell me, when a rainbow burst through the clouds, no matter how dark they are, what is your eye drawn to? The clouds or the rainbow? I do not know about you but my eyes are drawn to the rainbow.

The Bible tells us that God set His bow in the sky as a promise to never flood the entire earth again but it reminds me of more than just that. No matter how dark and stormy our lives may get, we have God's promises arching over us, reminding us of God's promises and reminding us of His love.

Blessings!

K.,

When I look at your life I see a rainbow of many promises fulfilled and ones to come!

I can't tell you how much I needed to see this reminder this morning. The storm clouds of life that have hovered over me since early dawn this morning have been quite dark. The timeliness of your blog for me, especially the quote above, is "priceless."

Blessings to you, K :princess:
