Over the past few days, I've been hearing a song over the radio a lot. The name of the song is "Blessings" by Laura Story. In the song she asks the some tough questions Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
We are so quick to dismiss this idea. We cry out that since God is good, He would never allow anything bad to happen to us. But what if those experiences draw us closer to Him? What if they cause us to better understand who God is? What if they those very experiences enable us to have empathy for those who are suffering in this world. What if those things make us "real" to the world around us?
Would it be worth it? I believe it is.

"What if those things make us "real" to the world around us?"
Profound and to those who are spiritually mature it is a glorious thing to glorify the name of Jesus by being faithful no matter what comes!
Php 1:29 For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake,
Php 3:10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
It is perhaps a small line between a man that counsels from education and a man that counsels from experience.
(Let's grant the many variants of those two combine and lived)
I could not share and emphasize with a cancer patient as you, so you may not be able to do the same with a thief and con-man.
As @southrenchristian says: 'it is a glorious thing to glorify the name of Jesus by being faithful no matter what comes!'
It is good to read a blog of the hard teachings of the Gospel.
