To CB With Love

Shortly before midnight on December 10th, I was rushed to the hospital via ambulance after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm and then a stroke. As morning broke, my husband knew that in addition to getting out the word to friends and family at home, he needed to notify my "CB family" as well. Although he is not a member, he has witnessed first hand the amazing community of believers we have here.

So, as soon as possible he alerted our friends Blessings2you and his wife Blest. He knew that in addition to immediately offering up prayers for me, my friends within the CB community would be alerted to my plight as well. While I was not "here" I have seen community prayers being offered up on behalf of members in the past. I have prayed with others here on numerous occasions. I know that God has used this place to bless others as well as myself.

Shortly after joining CB, I got breast cancer. Brothers and sisters here at CB were standing by to reach out to me with their prayers and support. Even though I could rarely go out, they helped me feel connected with the world. I am grateful for that.

When my cousin had an emergency c-section and she and her baby were battling for their lives, the members at CB surrounded them with their prayers and support. They are doing wonderful, by the way. Thank you!

Oh, I cannot tell you the times I have laughed with friends here and cried with them. Oh, the times they have picked me up and carried me when I had fallen face down in the "mud"... the times they have been the hands and feet of Christ in this world. I am eternally grateful to God for having brought me to this place back in July of 2007. He knew that I would need this place. Oh, how I would need this place... so much so that I view CB as God's gift to me.

So, with a grateful heart, I give. Yes, I write blogs, for this is a blogging site, but it is so much more than that. It is a community. A community of God's friends!

When I love someone or for that matter something, I try to give back in return. To always receive without ever giving quite frankly does not seem quite right to me. There is great joy giving!

Sometimes, we genuinely are in a position where we cannot give. If so, God is aware of that. However, I also know that our Heavenly Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills. I firmly believe that if you truly want to bless the site He brought you to so that it can continue to bless you as well as others, God will provide the means for you to do so. He has done so for me and I know He has done so for a few others as well.

It is easy to tell everyone how much you love this site. It is very easy to do so but are you willing to support it? Are you willing to ask God to give you, not someone else but you the means to do so or are you simply going to say "I can't" and leave it at that?

From what I understand, there are very few people who financially support this site. Very few. From what little I know, they must trust in God to be able to do so as well. What if they would have simply said, "I can't." and left it at that? That is just something to think about.

I'd like to encourage anyone who is reading this blog to just simply take the time to ask God what He would have you do in regards to becoming a CB Pledge Partner.

Blessings!
