Psalm 84:6-7: - When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings. They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem. (New Living Translation)
I love how this passage is worded in the New Living Translation. While many translations call it "The Valley of Baka" which means nothing to me, others translate it as the "Valley of Weeping". I understand and can relate to "Valley of Weeping".
Many, if not all of those who read this blog have walked through the Valley of Weeping at one time or another. For some of us, it is a brief visit now and then. Others of us feel like it has become our permanent home but notice that Psalm 84:6 says, "When they walk through the Valley of Weeping,". Though some of us may spend a great deal of time passing through it, the Valley of Weeping is not our home. We will not be there forever, we are walking through it.
God does not promise that we will never visit the Valley of Weeping. However, He does promise us that He will transform it into a place of refreshing springs. He promises that we will receive blessings there and we will continue to grow stronger. We must never forget that God walks through the Valley of Weeping.
