Will We Trust God?

Why oh why do we place certain conditions on the love of God? We who are unable to see or understand the full picture are quick to say that God has abandoned us the moment we face any sort of trouble, calamity, persecution, hunger, financial challenges, danger or death. We cry out to God in fear and even anger; refusing to trust Him. Instead, we berate Him in anger and sometimes even turn our backs on Him. How the enemy rejoices when we behave in such a manner and how we grieve the heart of God when we do so.

Will we trust God? This is the question which we have had before us since the beginning of time. Will we trust Him even when we are "thrown into the furnace", when we are cast into "the lions den", when we are facing "the Red Sea" or "surrounded by the Amalekites, the Syrians, the Philestines, the Assyrians, the Babylonians" or whoever. Will we trust God when our neighbors mock us, our family rejects us and friends abandon us? This is what God's people have had to face throughout the ages. Why do we believe that we are exempt from such things when we follow Christ?
Do we believe this, I mean really believe it? Then let us act like we do. Our relationship with Jesus Christ must not be based upon what we see or do not see. It must be based upon Him.

We must not forget that when we walk in the fire, there is a "fourth man" walking in there with us. We must not forget that though we are in a pit filled with lions, that God is the one who can shut their mouths. He is capable of not only parting the sea, He allows us to pass through it on "dry land" meaning it does not bog us down when we do so. He surrounds our enemies when they think they have surrounded us. He opens "prison doors" and He sets us free when the enemy thinks we are bound and held captive with no way to escape. He stands beside us when we face the giants in our lives and He rides through the storms of life with us.

There is nothing to hard for the Lord and He is ever mindful of us! I believe these words with all of my heart:

Do you?

Nothing can separate us... I love that scripture, it is one of my favorite. I find great comfort in knowing that nothing can separate me from the Love of God. Neither worries about tomorrow... how appropriate those word are for me at this time. Thanks for sharing. :0))
Blessings, Stephanie
