I don't know how many of you are aware of this but another huge milestone in regards to blogging is about to be reached here at CB. As of this writing, Blessings2you has posted 993 blogs on CB. He is fast approaching 1,000 blogs!
When I first became a member of CB the summer of 2007, there was no B2Y. Well there was, of course but he hadn't put in an appearance here yet. LOL! I looked up the date he joined and it was on October 13, 2007. This means he has written nearly 1,000 blogs in just under three years. That's a lot of blogs, B2Y!
When I first joined CB, no one had broken 100 blogs yet. I do not know if he was the first to do so but I vividly remember he was the first person to break 300 and so forth.
What newer members do not know is that during the winter and spring of 2009 he battled life-threatening health issues. Many in the CB community came together during that time and lifted up he and his wife Blest in prayer. Despite his health issues, he still continued to blog as much as he could.
Since that time, thanks to the pci introduced by John B. Abela (@abelajohnb) back in July 2009, I have had the privilege of meeting B2Y and Blest in person on more than one occasion. I am blessed to call them dear friends. They truly are blessings2me and I know they have been that to many others here as well.
So, I am looking with anticipation toward the thousandth blog of B2Y. May you keep on blogging and continue to be a blessing here at CB!
many kudos to the top dog...bark, bark, bark! :)
Thank you for the kind words and yes, in a little over a week (God willing) I will hit a milestone I never dreamed possible three years ago. 1000 is just a number for sure, but it does mark a milestone in faithfulness and that is why I have continued to post blogs six or seven days per week no matter what I have gone through physically, spiritually or otherwise.
Thank you again for alerting others to this upcoming milestone and I am truly thankful to have such an amazing friend around here as you.
Sounds to me like it is time for the flag raising ceremony...or at least a chocolate cake! Congratulations B2Y on a job very well done and willingly undertaken.
I have to say that my Pavlova was extremely well received in North Carolina. Now the problem there was that they could eat it but they could not pronounce it. So I was thinking that pavlova with CHOCOLATE on top might be an alternative ( may my mouth be washed out) to pure choco cake?
but 1000!!! WOW well done.
Cake? Chocolate? Chocolate cake? Did someone mention food?
Way to go, B2Y!Gracie
