The Letter

Today I came across a letter I wrote to my children nearly 30years ago. I'm not a person that's good with words and I wrote this so they would know how important each one of them was to me, and how their walk with God affected my life as well. I thought I would share this with you just as a reminder that our children need to know they bless us and we love them. This is so important in today's reckless uncaring world. My children have grown and their roles have changed as have mine. Not all of them now walk with God as they did when they were young -but I will keep praying for their return.

"Train up a child in the way they should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved and thy house." - Acts 16:31

The Letter

God gave to me each of my children. He knows I need all of you much more than you need me.
Do you know how much I love each of you.
Do you know God has made each of you a blessing to me.
Do you know how many times you've been the only bright spot in my day or how often you're the joy to my aching heart.
Did you know that God has given to each of you a gift that is a blessing and a measure of strength to me.

Robin - God has made you a comfort unto me. In this day of parent child warfare, God has made you not just a daughter, but a friend to me with whom I can share my hurts and my joys. I pray we never loose this special way of communicating for surely it is a special blessing from God.

Rob - God has made you to be a blessing of encouragement and joy to me. When all seems to be falling apart, not only do you fix the material things in need of repair, but you have a special way of assuring me, in my spirit, that God has things in hand and all will work out well.

Penny - I have thought much about you. You are a gift of God's love to me. When I have doubts and fears I need only think of you, your very presence in this world is a reminder of God's love for me and the realness of his miracles.

Monica - By you does God uplift my faith. Your sureness in Gods word as truth never ceases to uplift me. Your willingness and quickness to pray gives me strength and healing and hope for each day.

So you see God has made each of you to be a different blessing to me. None is better than the other nor more important than the other. But together you give me comfort, fellowship, encouragement, joy, faith and hope for each day.

I love each and every one of you. You are blessings sent to me from God!
