God Uses US Presidents for His Purpose: Bush and Middle East-Iraq

A few weeks ago as I was considering writing about President George W. Bush as part of this series on God using US Presidents for His purpose, I decided to see if there was anything about Bush and a calling from God on the internet. I just want to mention this here because I had not known about the revelations credited to Bush before reading the information quoted below. This seems to connect with the dream and revelations I have experienced concerning Bush / U.S. and the Iraq War.

God prepared the world for the first coming of Christ. Everything from ease of travel and communications to Roman peace and political stability and an appropriate religious system established. Things that would enable the gospel to be spread and have maximum effectiveness was prepared in advance. God sent His Son, "In the fullness of time."

It makes sense that God will prepare for the Second Coming, the return, of Jesus Christ. Nations, peoples and events will take shape and be readied for what will bring about the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In the research done on the internet, I have found some information about George W. Bush and what he believed. This first quote I can accept as being reliable:
"Bush believes he was called by God to lead the nation at this time, says Commerce Secretary Don Evans, a close friend who talks with Bush every day." by Judy Keen, USA TODAY, posted 4/02/03.
The following quotes may or may not be reliable. They come from various sources.
From the AlterNet, article by Clive Hamilton, posted May 25, 2009.
"In 2003, while lobbying leaders to put together the Coalition of the Willing, President Bush spoke to France's President Jacques Chirac. Bush wove a story of how the biblical creatures Gog and Magog were at work in the Middle East and how they must be defeated. In Genesis and Ezekiel, Gog and Magog are forces of the Apolcalypse who are prophesied to come out of the north and destroy Israel unless stopped.

Bush believed the time had come for that battle, telling Chirac: 'This confrontation is willed by God, who wants to use this conflict to erase his people's enemies before a New Age begins.'

According to this article, Chirac is said to have been stupefied and disturbed by Bush's invocation of Biblical prophesy to justify the war in Iraq. . "
From The Guardian, article by Ewen MacAskill, October 7, 2005:
"Mr Bush revealed the extent of his religious fervour when he met a Palestinian delegation during the Israel-Palestinean summit at the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, four months after the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.

One of the delegates, Nabil Shaath, who was Palestinian foreign minister at the time said, President Bush said to all of us: 'I am driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, George go and fight these terrorists in Afghanistan. And I did. And then God would tell me George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq. And I did.' "

From BBC News
Bush God comments 'not literal' - A Palestian official who said the US president claimed God told him to invade Iraq and Afghanistan says he did not take George Bush's words literally. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, who attended the meeting in June 2003 too . . . said the president - who had just announced an end to the hostilities in Iraq, was merely expressing his heartfelt commitment to peace in the Middle East. 'President Bush said that God guided him in what he should do, and this guidance led him to go to Afghanistan to rid it of terrorism after 9/11 and led him to Iraq to fight tyranny,' he said. 'We understand that he was illustrating [in his comments] his strong faith and his belief that this is what God wanted.'

Dream: Wars and Rumors of Wars-Nation Against Nation, Kingdom Against Kingdom

Matthew 24: 6-8: And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, see that ye be not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. KJV (or- beginning of birth pains NIV)

One week prior to the commencement of the War with Iraq in March of 2003, I had this dream:

The dream begins with my having to go to a certain town or city for a meeting or event. At first, I am walking uphill and seem to be looking for a particular meeting place or home. After wondering around for a while, I appear to be walking through an area that is like a plaza where people gather. Four men who are young, small in stature, and look like they are Middle Easterners begin to follow me. The strong sense I feel is that these men want to rape me. Then, I am stabbed with a knife.

Suddenly the scene shifts and in vivid bright colors I see about six to eight stubby looking men lying dead on the ground, some with knives in them. What is astonishing about this scene is that they are dressed in biblical times war costumes. (Like what you might see in a movie depicting a war scene from the Bible.) Another astonishing thing is each one appears to be wearing war clothing with a different color pattern. The colors I saw were primarily red, blue and yellow.

At the time of this dream, I was reading the Book of Isaiah. From Isaiah, God quickened many passages that pertain to the 1000-year reign of Jesus on this earth. The Holy Spirit also quickened these passages that I believe pertain to the War with Iraq and beyond nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom.

The night before I had the dream shared above, I had a simple dream of a battleship moving speedily and engaged in warfare.

Isaiah 13:4-6 Listen, a noise on the mountains, like that of a great multitude! Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms, like nations massing together! The Lord Almighty is mustering an army for war. They come from faraway lands, from the ends of the heavens the Lord and the weapons of his wrath to destroy the whole country (prophecy against Babylon-Iraq is located in what was the original Babylon). Wait for the Day of the Lord is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty. NIV

Isaiah 48: 14b-15 The Lord's chosen ally will carry out His purpose against Babylon; His arm will be against the Babylonians. I, even I, have spoken; yes, I have called him. I will bring him, and he will succeed in his mission. NIV

I believe that God is pointing out at least these three things:
1) The War with Iraq is involved in God's End Time Plan. I believe it is a piece in the process of the setting up for final end time events.

2) That the United States is actually included in prophecy. Because of the timing of this quickening to me, I do believe God is saying President George W. Bush (the United States) is His chosen ally and he (it) took on the particular mission God had prepared him (it) for.

3) God is pointing out that we are in the stages of God's Plan of Redemption that are described by Jesus in the Mount of Olives Discourse provided to His disciples concerning the signs of the End of the Age shared above Matthew 24:6-8 and in Luke 21:9-11.

Whatever you may think of George W. Bush, please consider how God has and I believe will continue to use this country and its leaders for His End of Days purpose.

Sister Revgenlink  how excellent is His ways. I love your gift of Prophecy. What you see is going to take time by that I mean your visions are about the end time but the end time is a long time. See your visions come from your spirit communicating with your Angel in heaven, that is the way they communicate through visions, rather somewhat telepathy. Let me tell you what I do. When the Holy Spirit confirms the visions you have then it is time to take That confirmed scripture to REVELATIONS :studying: for the interpretation of the end time prophecy. Now getting on with your blog about the United Sates; I love my country and I know that God built this great land; but I don't think God will consider any land on earth when Jesus returns. I hope to hear more from you and feel free to notify me whenever you blog. Feed your gift of Prophecy via studying :studying: the revelation of Jesus Christ because it is the gift of the greatest Prophets which we are in these last days.

God Bless

Thank you victorlucas for your comments. The dreams and revelations I have received concerning end time events all take me into the Book of Revelation. The dream that I discuss above has connection to the opening of the first seal of Revelation 6.
