Vision: Unsnarling Tangled Up Vine Branches
Early Sunday morning, January 5, 2003, God gave me a simple vision. I woke up about 5 a.m. that morning and started thinking about the Internet ministry God was calling me to establish. I started reflecting upon the content of ministry writings and about two areas of focus God had opened my eyes to see: the literal truth of the creation account and revelation concerning the end times and the timing of the removal of "The Church."
As I was contemplating how to proceed, I experienced a vision in which I saw a large snarled up pile of tangled vine branches. I need to clear away this mess was my thought. Then, a man appeared in the vision dressed in gardening clothes and carrying a gardening tool. Dropping in right behind him the image of another man began to appear and as he came into fuller view another man started to appear behind him and then another and another.
The vision reminded me of scripture about the vine Jesus, and the branches believers in Jesus Christ.
John 15:1-8 1 I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
This was my interpretation of what this vision was about. I believe it reflects that the time has come to unsnarl the tangled up vine branches so that the truth of God's Word can be seen and understood more clearly. The men who appeared in this vision may well represent angels who have been assigned to bring about the unsnarling of tangled vine branches (mans' mixed up ideas and imaginations).
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (NKJV)
I know that God wants us to see who He is more clearly and give Him the glory for His creation He so greatly deserves. I know that God wants His children prepared for what is to come in these end times and for eternity. I know this vision is a projection of this.
When I created a ministry website in 2003, blog websites were not yet popular and I knew nothing about them. A few months before I came across ChristianBlog.com, I found myself being attracted to reading comments on newspaper articles especially those with Christian content. I believe the Holy Spirit drew me to writing blogs and ChristianBlog began playing its role in the fulfillment of the ministry assignment God was preparing me for.
