Here is not referring to the person mournsfor mishap or sadness, but to sin because of hisown sin and hisweakness to overcome sin..This person is a truly repentant sinner. God give him justice, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit(2.1).
(2.1) In Romans 14:17 thatGod give the person joy that is comfort or encouragement (2.2) because he will be forgiven by GOD for his sin.
14:17 For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
(2.2) Greek original text can also be translated encouragement.
5: 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
GOD is gentle to the person who is meek to GOD, he may inherit the earth, where the earth, in the original Greek, really refers to the land, i.e.secular supply..
5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Hunger and love for God's will, character, standard (3.1), he will be fed and he be filled with the Holy Spirit of God and get righteousness.
(3.1) in Romans 1:16-17 that God give the person the way to righteousness,i.e.the Gospel.
1:16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
