Paul Drastic Turn and Jesus Christ's resurrection

Today, discuss with my mother about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Kindly find the following 180 degree turn of behavior of Paul, the saint who saved a lot of gentiles because of his wrought.

Paul, before the appearance of Jesus Christ to him, was a Pharisee zealous of persecuting Christians. For instance, Paul helped the people to look after their clothes when the people stoned Stephen to death. Stephen was the first martyr for Christianity. Later, Paul got the decree of the Pharisees to go to Damascus to catch and extradite the Christians back to Jerusalem for persecuting them. Furthermore, Paul is the student of the Great Rabbi Gamaliel during that time and Paul is a Roman Citizen (similar to the position of a noble in a lot of Kingdom). He basically has all the best boon, status, career that a young man could have. He has bright future.

However, after Paul saw the appearance of living Christ, who should have diedon the cross, on the trip to Damascus. He turned 180 degree. He became the most important and influential preacher of Christianity. He faced huge persecution and adversity because of this turn. He was forsaken by the Pharisees. He was flogged 5 times, staffed 3 times, stoned 1 time. During his last few years, he was in jail or custody. Eventually, he was executed and beheaded.

As mentioned in Phiippians 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,.

He really gave up everything for Christ, even his high position as a Pharisee, his Roman Citizenship, his freedom and even his life.

There are only two possible reasons for this turn, he really saw the glory of Jesus Christ. OR, he is insane.

If he is insane, we should see his characters will be very raw, rough, insolent, irrational, or even violent. However, kindly find what Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 13. (The chapter of LOVE). From his writing, we know that he is a kind, caring, loving, humble, righteous, and meek man by any standard.

13:1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.13:2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.13:3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.13:4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,13:5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;13:6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;13:7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.13:8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.13:9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.13:10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.13:11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.13:12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.13:13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Could webelieve a lunatic could write this? Paul is a saint, not only a normal person.

Pray for we all see the Grandeur and Splendor of Jesus Christ through Paul. Paul is a shiny silver amulet reflecting the Glory of GOD.

In Christ name.

Amen!

Brilliant. I was thinking of Paul along similar lines earlier today. It's incredible to think that a man who actively persecuted Christians could:
(a) be accepted and loved by God in spite of his wrongdoing in the past;
(b) change his mind so completely, and suddenly be willing to go through anything so that others might hear the good news and be saved.

Point (a) gives all of us hope. Point (b) gives us hope for those around us who aren't saved yet.

Thank you Raymond and God bless!

Praise the LORD. LORD is love. LORD is mercy. LORD is the Savior. LORD save Paul who should go to hell by any standard if not Jesus Christ appeared to him and made him repent. Pray for our beloveds who do not know GOD shall be elected by GOD before the eschaton. Pray for GOD's mercy. In Christ love, Amen!

You are right, this is very convincing proof. One who destroyed those of such faith, to completely change when confronted by the risen Christ Jesus. The same Jesus he did not believe in prior to his encounter.

God bless brother

Laud the LORD for HIS Almightiness. Extol the LORD, Jesus Christ, for HIS name should be glorified by all people. All people should come to the knee or even to prostate on the ground to pay HIM homage and respect. In Christ. Amen!
