I live in a small community in Texas w/an even smaller school district. We've been in this community for 6 yrs now. I can honestly say that I don't know very many of the parents in this school! You'd think that a school this small would have a tight knit parent connection but it's completely the opposite. Everyone seems really disjointed and they all have their own little clique's. Me, I was never one for group mentality so I don't have a clique. There are parts of me (left over from my dead flesh) that are still a wee bit anti-social so it doesn't really bother me that I don't know the most popular mom on the campus. Ehhh, I'll survive right? So I call the school the other day to ask about an immunization my 14 yr old supposedly needs but it's a mix up. Low and behold the lady at the office starts talking to me about a christian organization called "Moms in Touch International" which is a weekly prayer group for moms. They pray for the schools, administrators, teachers, students and their own children. She then proceeds to say that she wants to be a part of it but can't be in charge of it and would I like to do it? Ok I was shocked. Here I thought no one really noticed me at the school let alone thinking I had any sort of leadership ability. So I told her I'd check out the website and get back to her. It was definately something that would be right up my alley as far as directing and being in charge. So this brings up a very interesting opportunity. I will have most of the moms I don't know in our school in a room and will begin to meet and make relationships with them. Sometimes I find God's timing very peculiar and funny. I'm so thankful that He's in charge of my life and I'm not! :) -Marilyn
God's grace is more than sufficient.
He has prepared you for this and will make the way for you.
This mantle of leadership is one that I am sure you will undertake prayerfully with much humility and care. These women are going to be blessed through your teachings and exhortation.
This is the GOOD part of the race!
