A time to think, meditate and perhaps pray...

Today the Lord answered a long sought prayer request. But today we decided to stay off the sweets and self indulgence for a season or period, until the Lord tells. We know when we are not living in moderation anymore and taking a little more than we need for this life. How about you? Where is your life at? God took care of monster monday and we are glad. But lets' examine Gods' word and turn to Mark 1:40-45 where is says, ["... 40(A) And a leper[a] came to him, imploring him, and(B) kneeling said to him,(C) "If you will, you can make me clean." 41Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, "I will; be clean." 42And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean. 43And(D) Jesus sternly charged him and sent him away at once, 44and said to him, (E) "See that you say nothing to anyone, but go,(F) show yourself to the priest and(G) offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded,(H) for a proof to them." 45(I) But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter(J) a town, but was out in(K) desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter...] Sometime and very frequently we have to renew our request for God to make us clean. We sometimes have to renew our commitment to serve him whole heartedly. We sometime become sluggish and the smile to serve him is gone. We do things out of compulsion and we can even be bitter to tolerate what comes upon us. Jesus talks to church at Ephesus and has discourse for them, ["... 1"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: 'The words of(A) him who holds the seven stars in his right hand,(B) who walks among the seven golden lampstands. 2(C) "'I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but(D) have tested those(E) who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. 3I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up(F) for my name's sake, and you(G) have not grown weary. 4But I have this against you, that you have abandoned(H) the love you had at first. 5Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do(I) the works you did at first. If not,(J) I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent...] Sometimes we serve the Lord out of a sluggish, lead heart which is too heavy to lift itself up. And it comes to pass that it is when we have to call on the Lord to heal our land. In 2Chronicles 7:14 it says, ["...14if my people who are called by my name(A) humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land...] Yes, once in while, we have to humble ourselves and our life to God so he can heal our land of the Leprosy of the world, the flesh and Satan that accumulates upon us. If we tell God, if you are willing you can make me clean, and he will say, "Yes, I'm willing..." Because he promises to heal our land and make us clean. May you be blessed. Amen. thbg
