Coming to a new perspective...!

After reading Art's blog saga about his granddaughter and her soon coming wedding, I came to the conclusion that perhaps there's no safe place on earth. I will look for some accomodation on the moon! And we turn to a new perspective. That is more open minded and more allowing, not indulgent, but room for a second look at things. Not rushing to conclusions all the sudden... We know what our stance is on matter of 'theology'! But is that stance really effective. We know that the truth is fire-proof and nothing can stand against it and neither against the counsel of the Lord! But are we just doing the mininum requierement for God? Only doing our duty? Are just shooting arrows at the air, just because with have a bow of bronze which is better then a bow of say wood... Are our works bronze with a tint of God or they wood and stubble. Do we only love those who love us? And greet those who we admire? What about the rest? Does God love the rest? Who told us not? If God is love than why do we go in the different direction? If God is truth, do we listen to him? I bought a bible for one dollar plus tax. The word of God for 108 cents! I couldn't help it... When will we turn to God? Is there a time-table for coming to Christ and the knowledge of the truth? Have we asked where the road to heaven is? Have we thought about our sins? About forgiveness, ours and others? A mediocre devotion can be dangerous, when the days just fling by and we do not know where we are with the Lord! I catch myself in these questions... Trust in the Lord with all you heart, Lean not on you own understanding, In a matters acknowledge him, And he will make your paths straight... If I can remember this four lines, then I know, I will have the key to always have a fresh perspective... Blessings. Chow! thbg

I was thinking on this matter and blog and come to remember again and again Ephesians 4:32, the 'somebody else's ' commandment. It just make so much sense to be prudent and collective on matters. We will never beat our humanity as long as we live. Jesus told a Parable that if we come against a formidable enemy like is the flesh and his helper our humanity, it is best to send a delegation to the Lord and ask the term of peace with his requierements...!

The Lord said that if we forgive, we will be forgiven, and its time to start a diet of daily forgiving because, the spirit will only reveal more and more how fallen man is and we are one of them. And we need to be sober and see how we are going to stand before the Lord...?! Turn to Matthew 18:21-35,

["...21Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

23Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

24And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.

25But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

26The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

27Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

28But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.

29And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.

30And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.

31So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.

32Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

33Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?

34And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.

35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses...]

And we see this matter of unforgiveness can have hell consequences later on. And we want peace with the Lord on this matter, quickly...!

We, I just have to get away from the dross of old ideas we've picked up and we have them as house pet and we would never part with them or let anyone touch them or even scold them or shun them or look down on them. And this can be dangerous. Because we always have to be growing in the knowledge of God. If we stagnate, we become rot water and begin to smell and a stench begin to form in our life with our views...

And perhaps we have pet radio or television tele-evangelist who is witty and fun to listen and make some sense and just enjoyable to hear. And we would never let anyone touch or criticize their views. This can be dangerous. We have to be testing the gold all the time for purity. We cannot afford to clothed with tin or copper! I like to remember something in 1Samuel 2:25,

["... 25If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them...]

Now this is something we may never have heard. But if we sin amongst ourselves the Lord can helps patch thing up, but if we sin against the nature of his Diety or miscontrude his Glorious Providence over all things, and there the Lord cannot help me, until I ask him for forgiveness. And if someone points you in the right direction two or three time on this matter and you don't get it, you, I am on my own. We must always give God his place in heaven as sole authority over all things there and on earth...
