Good morning! How are you this day? Not so good! Depressed? Afraid? Lonely? Tired? Weary? What have you? We are instructed in God, that we should not pay attention to the appearances of life. What things seem to be or how they seem to be and what we are told they are to be! We should know that what we see in front of us is only a projection in a vapor or mist in front of us. James 4:14. Let turn there, ["... 14Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away..."] And our life is that way. It promises to be one way and the day proves it to be completely different and we learned that we worried and anguishe in vain. In the Parable of the Sower, God tell the story of someone who went out to preach the word, maybe us, or to us and someone tells us that it is lie and we take it our of our heart. And some other times we believe, but when things and the bad mirage gets intense we give up on the assurace of God that he will take care of us... And in yet some other times, we meet the enemy in the form of so much activities and bogged down time, taking care of this and that, that we don't even take time to realize that we haven't even thanked God for one minute. And yet how good we hope we would be the good soil that listens and hold on to God assurace and promises and yeild the fruit of peace and tranquility. But God says to the rest they focus on the mist that is in front of them and believe that. We turn to Luke 8:9-10, ["... 9And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? 10And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand..."] And sometimes we get up so focused on this smoke screen that tells us that things are impossible today. And it is a very effective way to bring us down and we mourn, thinking where is our God?! But God always tell us to put our trust on him. We turn to Proverbs 3:5-6, ["... 5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths..."] God tells us not to lean on our own understanding of what is possible for a problem to be solved, but leave it to God, to whom nothing is impossible. Take your eyes off the mirage and focus on God, dress and annoit yourself, go out and face the day... May you be blessed. Amen. thbg
Sometimes the avenues and streets of God get all cluttered, by our own lack of devotion, prayer and lack of insight. And we must understand that what enables us to see and hear is the holy spirit. We turn to Acts 1:1-5,
["... 1The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
2Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
3To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
4And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence..."]
And the batism of the holy spirit is what enables us to walk in the ways and roads of God. And in the gift of seeing and hearing we get to know what is behind the curtain and smoke screen of the dissimulation of the smoke of error and how the attack is on, on us and the world...
May you be blessed. Amen.
And God has a stern warning for those responsible for putting up the smoke-screen of error. We turn to Mark 9:42-50,
["... 42 And whosoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe on me to stumble, it were better for him if a great millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
43 And if thy hand cause thee to stumble, cut it off: it is good for thee to enter into life maimed, rather than having thy two hands to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire.
44 where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 And if thy foot cause thee to stumble, cut it off: it is good for thee to enter into life halt, rather than having thy two feet to be cast into hell.
46 where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
47 And if thine eye cause thee to stumble, cast it out: it is good for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell;
48 where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
49 For every one shall be salted with fire.
50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost its saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace one with another..."]
There sheer damnation for those who lead the innocent astray into the room of error. If we don't know what we are talking about, and ascert things we don't understand, it's better not to proclaim what I think I know! And I might feel like I could swear I know what I am saying, but only the word of God will stand in the end. Jesus says that if we build on his words, we will be like a wise builder who built his house on a Rock and the storms came and beat on that house, and it stood!...
May you be blessed. Amen.
Amen thbg.. His Word will stand forever..even in the hearts and lives of His people.. may His deliverance be complete and His assurance of our hope sure and relevant in our hearts. May we live for Jesus in victory and look beyond the pale of termporary mirages the enemy would place in front of us. Jesus is the Victor and He gives us victory over all that would beset us and block our victory. Praise the Lord. Amen.
And Perhaps we are going through a severe trial right now and even the Peril of life or death. And the trial has two sides: How much do we trust God to take care of us when we walk in the valley of the shadow of death and the other trial is on our freinds, whether they are freinds indeed. When Moses and Joshua were fighting a battle, Moses climbed a hill and raised his arms to heaven and prayed and Joshua stood the line in the hospital waiting room lobby...
And Joshua said to Moses, "Moses, have you not realize we are fighting a battle...?", and Moses replied, "I am doing just that...!", that we get the favor from heaven we need to defeat the enemy death in all its forms...
May all who are sick get well soon and win the victory of faith and perserverance...!
