Today I took my parent to the MRI imaging place for a procedure. And you know it is not in some totaly different environment that you begin to appreciate the little things that are pleasant in life. I'm met an eldely veteran there and he was telling me of the wars he was a veteran. Then I went outside the building for a break to pray and get some air and just meditate on God for a moment. I hadn't realized how tense I was to get up very early in the morning for this matter of the clinic. Well outside I examined the garden there and in the bushes was a plant in flower of mint tea and a plant of rosemary. I took a whif of the leaves and you can guess how nice the mint and rosemary smelled. I kind of wandered what kind of christian I would have to be to such a fragrant aroma to other in the knowledge of Christ. I just wondered if I had been a fragrant of the aroma of Christ to the elderly man there. We turn to John 3:31-34, ["... 31(BF) He who comes from above(BG) is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and(BH) speaks in an earthly way.(BI) He who comes from heaven is above all. 32(**) He bears witness to what he has seen and heard,(BK) yet no one receives his testimony. 33Whoever receives his testimony(BL) sets his seal to this,(BM) that God is true. 34For he whom(BN) God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit(BO) without measure...] And it come to pass that what we speak is always a refreshment in the truth of which the world is such in dire need of. The testimony of God is like that cuttling of mint or rosemary that has a distict and pleasant smell of its own. And we have that kind of dimension in Christ. thbg
Thank you freinds, but I just marvel at God at his grace. I just like you to know that I was later at restaurant and there were selling books there, and there was a curious book with a compilation of letters written in child style and with drawings of all kinds by the children, photocopied and addressed to soldiers who would like to read them. I bought the book with the last of my money and sent it a son of mine who is a marine. I sent him a letters to share this book with his comrades in uniform in his company.
I just wanted to make a note that the elderly veteran at the clinic did not loose his reward, his fellows in uniform today got a letter of encouragement and appreciation from the children in their country. Please pray that we understand what God wanted to do here. Thanks for the amen, and exhortations and right down good fellowship. May you be blessed. Amen.
