I don't know if I told you before that I'm a worry 'buff'. I fuss about this and that from hour to hour and from day to day. But that is not what the Lord would have us do his says in Luke 12, ["22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. 23 For the life is more than the food, and the body than the raiment. 24 Consider the ravens, that they sow not, neither reap; which have no store-chamber nor barn; and God feedeth them: of how much more value are ye than the birds! 25 And which of you by being anxious can add a cubit unto the measure of his life? 26 If then ye are not able to do even that which is least, why are ye anxious concerning the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin; yet I say unto you, Even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 But if God doth so clothe the grass in the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven; how much more shall he clothe you, O ye of little faith? 29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, and what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. 31 Yet seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you. 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. ] And we have another visit on this matter on Rev. 2:1-4, where it says, ["...1 Write this to Ephesus, to the Angel of the church. The One with Seven Stars in his right-fist grip, striding through the golden seven-lights' circle, speaks: 2 -3"I see what you've done, your hard, hard work, your refusal to quit. I know you can't stomach evil, that you weed out apostolic pretenders. I know your persistence, your courage in my cause, that you never wear out. 4 -5"But you walked away from your first love-why? What's going on with you, anyway? Do you have any idea how far you've fallen? A Lucifer fall! "Turn back! Recover your dear early love. No time to waste, for I'm well on my way to removing your light from the golden circle... ] Yes, even in our most diligent struggle to obey God we can loose sight of him and begin to worry about this, fuss about that and we are not joyful or cheerful anymore. We need to take a break and experience God and remember that he loves us and will take care of us. Yes diligent hands make rich and we should go about our business, but if the our business make us loose the quiet reflection and peace with have with God we've lost something important. If service is not with a smile on the heart or face anymore and we sometime can become hard and even bitter and we are not worshipping God anymore! Learn to trust God and remember we want to serve him and other out of love for him and others. I really hope you understand that charity is cheerful and that makes all the difference for you, others and even God. May you be blessed.Bye. thbg
Thankyou for your kind comment. I just sometimes forget how wonderful God is and how he really loves us. Who knows this worry business is from the devil who makes us doubt and put things out of proportion. But we must heed what Jesus told Jairus, ruler of the sinogogue, "Do not fear, but believe...!" Which is in essence the hub of the gospel message to believe and put our trust in God. Thanks again. May you have a wonderful peaceful day. Amen.
