Not Knowing what to say...!

Duindling with my "Oxford Commentary on Christian Thought" pp. 168, Dionysius the Pseudo-Areopagite, who know what that means, but says, "Dionysius, the author of a number of remarkable works, most probably lived in Syria in the early 6th Century. His principal writings are the 'Celestial Hierachy', the Eccleisastical Hiearchy', and the 'Divine Names', and the 'Mystical Theology'. Profoundly affected by NeoPlatonism (See Plato", they offered the most co-ordinated account of theology as whole written until then in the east..." According to this commentary, Platonism has had a major influence in some dimensional thought of those in the "Church" I read on Plato and was more confused than enlightened to know exactly what and what thought of Christians that would come after him in some 300 year later. But the questioin I just want to ask, " Is doctrine Philosophy of some sort???!!!... And some philosophy doctrine to perhaps add spices to what is considered 'knowledge'. And does scripture need spicing up to be revelant??? What can happen when we add to God's words and have sort of Hybrid Religious based on human explained thought on something God want to make plain and clear???... Certainly "Pilgrim's Progress" had a Puritanical point of view according to this commentary. And it seem that everyone has read Paul Bunyan and I couldn't put a sketch together of what Paul Bunyan wrote and wanted to point out. But then you know by now how behind in thing I am in these topical matters!!!... And the question is wheter would God care for what this early philosopher said and did and what Bynyan wrote later??? Can any one be cayoled into Salvation??? I may perhaps help to be nice in putting the gospel message with fancy word and trimmings!!! But how do I tell someone he or she are sinner and awaiting damnation in a nice, kosher way???... And this is the art of the Master to put a topic where God is in the center of things and not what man thinks!!! But how do we go about that??? We asked far many questions and proposed few answers!!! And it si troblesome that the answer will have to narrow down to on name Jesus and not procedures and or ceremonies or elogated lines of thought but a convicion that we are sinners and lost!!!... There are no other words God want to hear in the day of Judgement than "How happy I am to have Jesus!!!" No eccliusticus discorces or Church Hierchy or who is Pope or who is the regional Pastor of a leading church or who wrote a timeless annectdote and everyone liked it!!! The one words God want to hear, "God have mercy upon a sinner, give me Jesus for my sins and I know I'll be fine with him and nothing else!!!..." It is so simple to be saved but so easy to get lost in words and stories and philosophies!!! All we need to know is J-E-S-U-S!!! and nothing else!!! May you be blessed. Amen. thbg

I was telling someone about my blog and she said, "How do you know Jesus is all you need for Salvation???!!!" And fear came upon me and trying to see her way and weakness and I too became weak and doubing. I couldn't suddenly remember any scripture and no avail she does not read the bible!!!...

And it was troublesome to doubt that God knows us and very well. I guess I took the comfort of the scriptures for granted and to some the scriptures and acclamations of God are just human mind conjectures and figment of a busy imagination!!!...

And then we remember we cannot reason God and faitih and the gift to believe him and the subject of gift and grace just is not something some can conprehend and even contemplate and they "What if? What if" the bible is not inspired by God, and what if we are just imagining things. And from there we want to build something for God in return for his grace!!!...

And we begin to build philosophies and argument of what God is and how he is and what he says and what he means with what he says!!! And it is all fear and not the gift to trust God. And that is why we have to remember that Grace is a gift to cast out the devil of unbelief and believe God!!!...

And it is truly frightening that to think that God does not love us like he says and that he really does not mean what he says!!!...

May you be blessed. Amen.

And curious, I was thinking abou this blog, and perhaps thought was not so kind to the taste of others and I confessed this to the Lord. And perhaps we weren't constructive and kind. And we know that love is kind and not puffed up. And I perhaps realized that is why I wrote this blog because we cannot use our sophistication to go above other or our higher brand of morality to see things from a birds eye view on others...

Sophistication and elaborate philosophies will not get anyone into heaven and neither will morality or ones view of it get you to heaven either and if we sophisticate ourselves and trust that we are more moral than others and deserve to go to heaven more than others, then we don't understand whom Jesus came to save at all!!!...

Adding and finishing,

["...15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity..."]

And we don't preach Jesus, we preach in vain, and if we add to the gospel message, the above passage will happen to us someday...!!!

May you be blessed. Amen.
