Readin' a book by the title "One-Eyed Dream"! And we take you to the far reaches of the imagination! And since this book is fiction wouldn't we say it is from the far reaches of the imagination! And it is based on something that would of happen that did not and could if of been possible?!... And not true but possible?! And yet the bible is the same to some! Like something like it could of happened?! Wakin' the dead! Healin' leprosy! Sendin' Manna from heaven! And killin' yourself for the whole of humanity!... And yet I get the idea before we do into the rhetoric of the book wheter the fiction or the bible and yet which is which and which could of happened somehow?!... Could of happened?! And yet this dream is like sleepin' with one eye open, where we dream and rejoice and jubilate and yet one eye is open lurking into the night lookin' for anythin' strange!... Let's go nto' to book and quote something: "The next time the guard stop his feet and slap his arm to work up warmth and stimulate circulation! Bass would make his move. Two quick steps and it would be a test of the warrior's side. Two quick steps and it would be a test of surprise versus youth, muscle agaist older sinew, one man fear against another's dread!..." And this suspicion business and constant tug-of-war! And do we have here and with each other and between you and your wife, kids and older parent or older folk in general?!... Now God said that blessed are the peace-maker because they will be called the Sons of God!... And do we deal with each other with one eye on both hand and one eye lookin' foward and one eye lookin' back?!... And do we deal with God this way?! Like who was it that hid her molten gods so her father would not have them! She had everything, and yet she took her molten gods with and stealin' them from her father Laban?!... And from one to ten scale how do we measure how much do we trust God?!... And is our Dream One-Eyed looking toward the kindom to come but one Eye on this world and life! Like double minded commitment! We vow something and boast another and still forget what we vowed and what we boast about in from of strangers...to look good!... And...what happen to the lyric, "My Eyes (both) are upon the Lord for it is he that will take my feet out of net!..." And this and exercise for the Child of God with the comin' New Year and what should be my resolution and tell God on my knees, "God, forgive me! Make room for me in you kingdom!..." And the Lord said to him, looking to his side with both eyes, "Fear not my son!, Trust in me!, And today...today both us will...the Temple with take his place in Paradise!...Fear Not!...Blessed are you who see and hear!..."... Now this kind of blogs what do they remind you of?!
Let's turn to bible and let God tell us!...
["... 39And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
40And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
41And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
45And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
46And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation..."]
And perhaps you should sleep with one eye open and pray that you don't wipe completely and fall into the swirlin' lust Vortex of the world!...
Thanks for these words of encouragement Brother Frank! Yes- let us beware and be forgiving and ask for forgiveness "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us.." and not live in the past! God Bless you and your family mightily! Dave
Thanks kind Dave for you kind benediction to our message! It is very important to God that someone like you blesses it and gives it life! Cangrats to you and Silverpen for being the members who most welcomed the new members to this site! Thanks for all the blessin's you brought all our messages this year! And Silverpen for all the fastin's that we often do like doing myself, but I'm glad some is more thoughful in that than I'm so I can have more grace to share what I have!...
Congrats to both of you!...
Brother Frank, too many things of the Bible seems so far fetched, that's if we view them and read them with a earthly outlook and worldly perspective. Many do not realise or may forget that God is a supernatural God. So supernatural things cannot be explained by earthly words or earthly examples.
When we see and view in a different perspective, we will be able to trust Him more completely than we would have. Always trust God with all our heart, trust His faithful Servant and be the trusted one that others can trust.
Thanks for sharing. Yes, I make it a point to welcome the newcomers. That's the least I can do here. Let God and many others do the rest.:wink:
From Hwa Silverpen
We are are set apart from the world-to believe! We learn stuff from the Bible everyday! For example-please read 2 Kings 4:39-44! Bread of Life and the sharing-similar to the feeding of the 5 thousand! I rejoice seeing new folk here! I will welcome them, and I echo Sister hwa's last comment!
And let look at 2Kings 4:39-44 and what we have there and why not today is the day of salvation!
["...Passage 2 Kings 4:39-44:
39And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.
40So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
41But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
42And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.
43And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.
44So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD..."]
And when we believe God to do the incredible he will do the incredible and even when we run out of faith he still does the incredible!...
I was plain of out Christmas money and I ran out money and went over budget but there were some I still wanted to remember them this Christmas because they have been such blessin' to me this year! And I just was not solvent to make any expenditures! And for example it was going to cost me $25 dollars to buy my treasure newphew a gift... and he would never forgive if...I pretended I forgot! I told the Lord about it and just couldn't figure with all my finance wisdom and I did not want to borrow anymore...my heart was not in borrowin!...
And just as I forgot about it, I was in this food Club warehouse and there was this 64 ounce bottle of Vlassic Pickles and my nephew loves this pickle thing phenonomenoly... and for less than $5 dollars I realized I had gone without sleep for nothing! I took the pickles and and put them in the cart...and now if I can only find a red Christmas ribbon to ties around it?!...
And yes the Lord is most Yes...Yes...Yes...It is possible perhaps in some way we don't expect! But the Lord knows how to brings us peace to all our problems! And he thought about all of them in that hour in Calvary Hill!...
