Putting the Day into Perspective...!

Let's open the bible to things into perspective, ["...1.Mark 4:19 (Whole Chapter) And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. 2.Luke 8:14 (Whole Chapter) And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 3.Luke 21:34 (Whole Chapter) And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares..."] This Day after Christmas, to my dismay, my mother had a plan for today, tommorrow, the day after, next week and next year! And I said to myself, "Wow...!" I said to myself this, because I must of prayed 37 different prayers just to get out of bed and convince myself to drink some coffee and thank God, and let him take care of the rest of the day. And God prophesied that this would happen, ["... 37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be..."] A very busy in this life eschedule. Further, ["... 44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;..."] And the idea of those in the world is that the Holiday passes and life continues as it was before, once we recover from the partying, then with what come next. But James thinks not this way, ["...12There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? 13Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that..."] And the fact is that we will be happier and more in control of this life if we put life into perspective and let God set the agenda for the day and summit to him for everything and thank him for everything... May you be blessed. Amen. thbg

Mark 9:42-50,

["...42And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

43And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

44Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

45And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

46Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

47And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

48Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

49For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

50Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another..."]

And we take this as an admonition, for those who lead other astray trying to convince them to accomplish their goals this coming year with Christ. And taking on the responsibilty to lead others is a serious matter if we are going to lead them away from God. And but the great benefit of those who do lead others in the right direction is that God will take care of their business if we take care of his and he, God will fulfill our goals and aspirations and if we are diligent and pray an accomplish his...

May you be blessed. Amen.

Amen..Is it not this in His Word? Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.
A great promise to lay hold of for next year and the next decade.

Happy New Year thbg - may you let Him take care of all business and you only trust and obey.

Thank you 'ptl2008' for your kind, kind comment on this subject. And we made some plans, kept some and had forlong others. And today in the morning I was driving the car and put on a tape by a group from Peru, and they began to sing the score music to the movie "The Titanic". And I remembered the movie how mistaken the characters were in believing that nothing, not even God will be able to sink that ship...

And when we take on the plan for our life and the cares we take on, and if we are misled and misguided and take on a view that is not biblical, then we will join the "Titanic" in fate. Perhaps this is not a cheery New Year resolution. But I'm convinced that in the pletora of lights that will distract us from God, only the bible can be trusted to tell the truth on any matter. And some of the cares we will take on will accompany bad counsel and we will make a mistake to take our eyes off God and his words...

And the fact of the matter is that if we care for someone or something more than we care to listen to God, we will smart for it, together with what led us astray, and we will become fruitless in what we presume, in our supposed i.e., the knowledge of God...

May you be blessed. Amen.

And today I had begun thinking, focusing on myself and looking at myself and then focusing on others and looking at what others may do, and I still was not focusing on my God. I was looking everywhere but his direction. The spirit left me and I couldn't see what he wanted to tell me, but I must say I was distracted for sure in what others do and like I've said, one option

is to focus on where I came short and I still did not see God. And this is what this blog is all about putting God into perspective, but I need to see him first and then see what is happening to me...

May you be blessed. Amen.
