Something for who knows?...children...

I was listening to the sermon by the Pastor at my church and he was going over that we are the beloved of God and the children thereof. So the question of children props up and the life of a christian in the family. No all families are alike and no all believe Jesus. So this can be a problem and what should we think about this subject? One of the particulars in the old testament is that one should not make oneself unclean for anyone only his own close relatives. This is a periless statement since we have to have peace in the family to get our morsel of bread each day. If were to preach the truth in our family we would be in the street in an instant. So we are not discuss religion in our family. Perhaps in a believing family you can open a subject about religion but not all live in beleiving families and we should not think we can convert our close relatives. Jesus said a prophet has honor every where except in his own town and close family. Why you're like one of us. Why should you be so enlightened by this Jesus stuff they might retort if you try it. But in the other issue is the statement made, it says, [20:1 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,2 "Say to the people of Israel, Any one of the people of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones.3 I myself will set my face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given one of his children to Molech, to make my sanctuary unclean and to profane my holy name.] We should always pray for our children that they don't walk in misconceptions. We should set the right example for them to come to the Lord. In the word is say that the spirit of Elijah will bring the hearts of the children to the fathers and the heart of the fathers to the children. Boy! Does the Lord care about our children. He has a special soft spot in his heart for them. He says that that if we don't become like little children we will by no mean, no means enter the kingdom of heaven. This business of being like children and the care of the children themselves is a very special particular with the Lord and it should be with us. May he help us heed his admonition today. May you be blessed. Amen.

I just came across this blog and I just had to comment on it.

This is something I have done regularly for my son since I knew of his very existence. Yes, we must set an example but we also must pray that protects them and opens their eyes to deception. I spend more time on my knees in regards to my son the older he gets which is how it should be.

He's planning to be married in a little over a year and yes, I am praying now for the home and family he will head. I pray for my "daughter-in-love" to be and she knows it. It has been a joy and a privilege for the two of us to pray together! I pray for any children they may be blessed with in the future.

We must never neglect praying for our children, no matter how old they are!
