Sunday Sabbath Service Sermon: The Lamp-holder...

The electrician came over to our house to install some light in some room. And all day I been moaning with or to the Lord that I really had nothing to show for in my life. I marved at the skill and or accumen of the electrical worker put on the technical work on the lamps. I asked him if I should bring my hand lamp to help him and light the way, but he said no. But it soon became obvious we was having trouble not being able to see too well and I went and brought my lamp... I marveled at this worker of technical stuff had no hand lamp to focus on problems and put light on trouble. As the night wore on and the work continued, my lamp became the most useful too to get the job done. And he said, light here and bring the light over here and overthere! I forgot how useless I was and perhaps a little proud to have a hand lamp that made it all possible! And sometimes I have nightmares that I don't have access to God's word. God's word is lamp to my path and feet said David in Psalms... And the fact of the matter is that I don't undertand anything untill I open my bible and look. And my worst time is my is fog and can't remember anything. But I'm comforted to have God's word. We turn to John 1, ["...1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not..."] And we have comfort that Jesus is light of men and of the world, the word of life. And if I turn to God's word in prayer, I know I will have access to all secrets and unravel all mysteries. And this real power indeed, because knowledge is power and is availiable to anyone. No one corners the understanding to God's word. It please God profoundly to give his wisdom to the fooliest and his riches to the poores, sending those who are rich empty handed and those who ride the sky, to eat the dust of the ground... May you be blessed. Amen. thbg

And when we come to Jesus, the Word of God, and the word of God, there's a transfiguration between Jesus, the Word of God and the word of God. Paul says in Romans 11:33, the Praise of God, how really wise and all-knowing God is. And when we contemplate the birth of Christ bodily, he has the full Godhead and has the full Diety of God. We turn there,

["...2That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

3In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

4And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

5For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:..."]

And we can recieve this knowledge and wisdom and completeness and essence with Christ in us. And Paul admonished us to be wary lest any man spoil us through philosophy and vain deciet, in the way men think, and the world, not giving God Jesus the full praise, glory, fear and reverence...

May you be blessed. Amen.

And in the revelation of the whole counsel of God and his wisdom, we begin to see the whole picture clearly, about our fallen nature and like we've the excellence in the name of Jesus. And the basic fact is that if we have the real picture of the truth, then we are set free, because the truth set us free. We turn there,

["...31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

34Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed..."]

The bi-product of wisdom is the freedom the truth and the Son executes this freedom into our life. And the word becomes the center of our attention and life. But we must call on him now! While he is near! May you be blessed. Amen.

And we cannot understimte to look to God Jesus for everything. First for our enlightenment, John 9:38-41,

["... 38And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

39And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

40And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

41Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth..."]

And our sin remains if we say we understand when we really don't. And God singularizes the soleness of his wisdom and blessing. John 10:1-5,

["... 1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers..."]

And Jesus says plain that he is the one, and who he is. John 10:6-10,

["... 6This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

7Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly..."]

...ditto

May you be blessed. Amen.

And truly it is a marvel, until we don't see the blindness that is in front of us that keep us from seeing, we don't and we will not have peace with ourselves and our life. Perhaps if we learned to understand this. We turn to Psalm 90:12-17,

["...12 Teach us to number our days carefully
so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.
13 LORD€” how long?
Turn and have compassion on Your servants.

14 Satisfy us in the morning with Your faithful love
so that we may shout with joy and be glad all our days.

15 Make us rejoice for as many days as You have humbled us,
for as many years as we have seen adversity.

16 Let Your work be seen by Your servants,
and Your splendor by their children.

17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us;
establish for us the work of our hands€”
establish the work of our hands!..."]

And this something we should pray for the Lord would do for us. And then we turn to Isaiah 55:1-4,

["... 1 "Come, everyone who is thirsty, (A)
come to the waters;
and you without money,
come, buy, and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost!

2 Why do you spend money on what is not food,
and your wages on what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
and you will enjoy the choicest of foods. [a]

3 Pay attention and come to Me;
listen, so that you will live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you, (B)
the promises assured to David. (C)

4 Since I have made him a witness to the peoples, (D)
a leader and commander for the peoples, (E)..."]

And we really covet the real peace and the real satisfaction. And in summary, James 4:14,

["... 13 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit." (L) 14 You don't even know what tomorrow will bring€”what your life will be! For you are a bit of smoke that appears for a little while, then vanishes. (M)

15 Instead, you should say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that." 16 But as it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil..."]

And if we humbly approach God and give him his place and he will make our paths straight and we will see clearly where we are going...

May you be blessed. Amen.

And finally the real fact of the situation is that we have to deal with the Prince of this World to deal with and his darkness and dominion in the world in which we live and take breath. But this is for us to not slumber and stop praying for any reason. After reading this blog and comments, we must stay awake and always imploring God to guide us and keep us close to him. In the mornings we wake up disoriented and we forget what day it is for the plan of God, but what may be, wake up and pray for God to continue to bless us with his light, Jesus...

May you be blessed. Amen.

Thank you 'ptl2008' and 'bethy' for you kind amen and communion with this message. And I still can't fanthom the reasoning, to go a dollar store and get a whole copy of the word of God for one dollar and eight cent. A cup of coffee cost more than that. In the day of Judgement, it will be diffcult to form an argument, that we did not have access to the light of this Jesus and his words...

Thank freinds for communing with me and bringing Praise to the Light of the World, Jesus...

May you be blessed. Amen.
