Taking a good hard look at ourselves, myself...!

In this hour we take a look at ourselves. Since we decided to humble ourselves and seek God and be cleansed. Now we see the corruption in our mind and soul. And that is good news because we are past the denial state. Like the Laodiceans who said " I'm rich and need nothing...!" No, when need something or that is someone, we need God to help us see that we need to change. I hadn't realized this until I stumbled and and was flat on my back to sort of speak and that's when I realized who poor, wretched, blind and naked I was in heart. I couldn't write anymore blogs untill I saw myself as I am really. The Lord would not allow it. I had to confront myself and tell my self the truth that I was in a streak of sin and needed to give it up. I'm just so thankful for God that he is not arrogant, he just wants to help us. Yes it's time to confess our sin and dirt to God and tell him just exactly what you now see, now that you can see, I can see like really am. No more facade or shirade or circus or media performance of some sort. Just the plain fact about myself. The ability to confront ourselves is really commendable. The forces of evil want to put you in a fatasy about yourself and distort the real picture. Some where in the bible speaks of the ungodly as " Let their bountiful table be a snare...!". Yes a pretty picture of ourselves can bring ruin and presumptiuous sins. Yes, it's time to get the act together and really God already knows what manner of person I am, but perhaps wants to see whether we are mature enough in the faith so confront and confess. Yes, I think its time to do that. God has been waiting for this moment. A broken and contrite heart he will not dispise. May you have a pleasant evening and morning. Amen. thbg

When I finished writing this blog a thought occurred to me that we need to take an MRI of our concience and see if its really at peace with the Lord and truthfully with ourselves. Perhaps some of me, need hubble-(humble) telescope to discover myself even when I old. Psalm 71:9 and perhap come to really meet yourself for the first time and see your make up even it the twiligth of your years, my make up for the

first time in my twi-light years. For some of us we need an electron microscope, but if you look closely you will discover who you really pertain to be, I look and discover who I really petain to be in reality. May you be blessed. Amen.

Mirror, mirror on the wall...

The mirror can be a great thing. The mirror can be a frightening thing.

Like the wicked queen in the fiary tale, we can see what we want to see. But God sees into our hearts, sees us as we really are. When we look into the mirror (or see that MRI), we must see what God sees. Without this view, a realistic view, we can't confess the sins we do not see and admit to ourselfs. We fool ourselve as to our beauty. If we do not confess, we can't repent. We continue in our weak, human ways.

Through the Spirit, we are given the tool of a clear, realistic mirror.

Blessings to you brother,

I just marvel brothers and sisters at you insight into this matter of seeing ourselves as we really are. I really like that ideal of looking at ourselves on the mirror, the mirror of Gods word and how God sees us. And like you said, if we really don't see ourselves as sinners, when will we have the hope of repenting. Thank you for you insight and amens. I thank God that he

helped us see things his way, which is the way of light and not of what is hidden and in darkness. Paul said to expose all evil doing of darkness. We just thank you and God for all of this. Amen.
