The Lost Jacket

I woke up in the morning as everything normal. I confessed right away to God some mistakes I had been making. Some sins to be more precise. And then I thought, "Where is my biker jacket?" It is spring why woulld anyone be worried about his winter biker jacket! And I began to search diligently for at first and then more frantically each moment. And then it suddenly had become all clean and clear and what God was trying to remind me of and how and what is that I should be concerned about. Now God each day worries about his lost. God does not take breaks from this quest he has for his lost. Luke 21:34-36, ["... 34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man..."] And God admonishes us, me 'biker' to not take my eyes off the road and I don't want to loose my jacket and God does not want to loose any of his lost!!! Looking at the Parable of he Prodigal Son and take note of the concern of the father for his wayward son!!! ["... 20And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. 21And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: 24For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. 25Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. 26And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. 27And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound..."] And I begin to think that I am like the father, but I think again and think that I am like the son that was lost, then I finally come to think that I am more like the son who had no concern about his lost brother, but was more worried about '...his business' and how he had served so much and thought the 'he' needed the reward more!!! May you be blessed. Amen. thbg

Well, did you find your jacket. lol

It is not a bad thing that one knows the walk of both brothers. As long as that one is still in Christ they have that much more now to draw on to share with the lost and the Body of believers.
