The Minty Mountain Sunday Sabbath Service Sermon...

I chose this title because I wanted and prayed to God, for him to mint in my heart for my fellow man who is at odds with me. And I could only trust God, because only he can move mountains and barriers that separate people. Certainly the technology and science that makes this message possible is a marvel. The modem, and communication machinery. It is wonderful when science works for the good of him who is the inventer of all things, God himself. And I need the mint that is in heaven to soften my hard, weary, and sometimes hostile heart to be able to continue and be a player in God's band... We turn to Luke 1:67-79, ["... 67And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, 68Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, 69And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; 70As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: 71That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 72To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; 73The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, 74That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 75In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. 76And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 77To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, 78Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, 79To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace..."] And John the Baptist father blessed John and made the benediction on his life to announce and point towards appearing of the Messiah. And from this point on we ask the Lord to finish this blog, in his name we ask, amen. We went to a museum in some distant city and they there were splitting rocks and selling them at $27.00 a pound. My earthly parent bought one and had it split, but instead of splitting into two peaces, it became three. And I thought that was wonderful because I could have a small peace and still him share the other two piece with whom he so would. But he wasn't content later and complained that his rock had split imperfectly into three and not two perfect halves! And he wanted to return it and possibly to my shock and dismay possible haggle and get his money back...! The Rock stayed after, after praying to God that we would not make the scene to get back our money back over a rock! But God answered that prayer and we went back but to buy three more rocks and have them split so we could give a half of a rock to some relatives back home. And now everyone has a 'peice of the rock'. And I was happy because I got a 'piece of the rock'. And significant thing for me because I got, I have a peice of 'The Rock' Jesus. And on the ourside he looks ordinary for everyone, but when he was broken on that cross crucible, I got a piece of 'The Rock'...! And the rock in the museum like like the Rock a got a piece of that rock and Rock. And the Rock continues to be split into many peices and one of that precious chips of goodness can be for you and that is going to be your ticket to be on the museum of heaven as a special display of God. God says that the woman when she found the lost silver coin, called all her neighbors and said celebrate with me. I lost my silver coin, but I have found it again. Hallelujah! Praise God!... We thank God for this Minty Mountain Sunday Sabbath Message. I hope you benefitted from what God is trying to put on the table for us today. May his name be for everyone forever blessed. Amen. thbg

As those who have been following our blogs have noticed that we have been writting about loosing and warning about loosing our temper rather frequently. The fact of the matter is that we are at the end of our humanity strenght and we have to turn the business over to God. And God doesn't play games with clown or character who set themselves against the gospel. God is kind and patient but when he looses his temper, I know I have made a mistake...

We have heard of the sorcerers who want to hypnotise me and you and suffocate our air, now let's visit the scoffers of Pisiadia Antioch and see what Paul told them who became obstinate and forget love, mercy and concern, Paul was upset in the holy spirit, Acts 13:38-43,

["...38Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

39And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

40Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;

41Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

42And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

43Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God..."]

The Gentiles believed and followed for a while and wanted to hear more of the message, but that we change when we explore the mind poisoners in our next message, God willing. And now we have the sorcerers, the scoffers, and next mind poisoners, then lastly I think we have the man worshippers. Stay tuned. In this segment God looses his temper and turns men over to their own sluggish heart to believe...

And we focus on John the Baptist in this message, because he was the first one to announce the truth into the scene, if not the Truth himself. And he told those who were at odds with the Truth the situation for them. And here we meet a God who is loosing his patience and is upset. We turn to Matthew 3:7-11 and Luke 3:7-16,

["... 7But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

8Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

9And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

10And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

11I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:.."]

And John was the first to make clear that the line of Race will not get me into heaven. And we turn to Luke 3:7,

["... 7Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

8Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

9And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

10And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?

11He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

12Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?

13And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.

14And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.

15And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;

16John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:..."]

And John speaks and ushers in a generation of people who will do the will of God and bear good fruit for God and in contrast to those who will scoff and ignore God's message and try to get into heaven some other way. And we do not want to do that. If the road has been made straight, why would we want to confuse ourselves and other by coming some other way than by the cross of Jesus...

And perhaps after Thanksgiving the Mountains look Minty Blue. Perhaps thinking about Christmas Mint candy canes. And we want to look forward to what is next in our life and where is the next stop for stagecoach trip of our life. The goodnews is that we still have God's word to enlighten us and God's spirit to bring it meaning. And that brings us consolation. And I must confess of trying to thanks God this season, I thought what could come next?...

And God has some good things for us, but we must lift up our eyes to the distant hazy blue mountains and set our course for the long road and be happy and content and again continue to give God praise and thanks. And like we said it is not the day that is important but God himself the distant hazy blue mountain who should be the focus of our blue eyes to feast upon, and he feast of God never ends...

So we learn the lesson, with the onset of Christmas, give the gifts, sing the carols, and have the family reunion, but the hazy blue mountian of the Lord is always in the horizon after the snow storm has cleared. And to message is to right celebrate but be always ready to keep going and be set to get on the road again, because this world is passing away and new things are coming on the horizon more mighty than those that are passing away...

I was listening a lyre mourning song in the radio, that tell the story of this man who love a woman very much and he heard news that her love, loved another man and he went into a cantina to drown his sorrow in drink, and when he ran out of money, he wagered his birthright gift neckless that his mother had given him and he lost the bet and lost the neckless. And then he went drunk to the wedding feast of his love and the other man and he fired his gun and killed her...

He went to prison, but in prison he laments, not killing his wife, but he lamented the neckless his mother had bought him with love...! What a sad story. He lamented more that he had forgotten about his mother in order to forget that woman who had betrayed him. And it may never happen to us that we sell the all the kind admonitions our father in heaven gives us and cast lots for it and loose it for some unworthy thing, that we end up losing in the end, and sometime what we seek in this life we destroy with our own hands...

Let's not destroy the wonderful calling our father in heaven is given us and has put the neckless of life around around our neck. Please don't end your life tragically, keep the necklace of the rigth to life on. May you be blessed. Amen.

In the story of the Prodigal Son, when the young man ran out of money in the distant country, he countn't continue his riotous living and the first he he thought, I'll work for living even feeding pigs, but then he came to himself, and gave himself away, he said, I'll be servant in my fathers house. I won't be his Son, but I'll sure know I'll be the best Servant. What could possibly offend him after feeding swine for a living?...

And how wise he was to give away the very last that was left of him, his pride, and kind of thing of it , that what brought him into trouble in the first place, his pride...

May you be blessed. Amen.

I was looking at the Minty Mountains from the back yard of my house. And I remembered this blog and the Message. And somewhere some split me into two and like the rocks at the Museum and I wanted to quote myself and perhaps learn something,

["...What could possibly offend him after feeding swine for a living?...

And how wise he was to give away the very last that was left of him, his pride, and kind of thing of it , that what brought him into trouble in the first place, his pride..."]

And it was a toss between my pride and the gospel! I could not let my pride ruin everything! Perhaps there's another way to look at this problem I was having! Pray...Yes! Pray...

May you be blessed. Amen.
